Beach club standard room v DVC villa

Thanks for your help everyone

I just got in touch with David’s DVC and they were very helpful and as a lot off you told me it’s probably not going to happen.

He actually looked up the bookings for this year out off interest and the most nights they had in a studio for this December was 6 nights and if I changed to start of November most was 9 nights

Based on that I think I’ll need to chuck the idea off saving money and just go for the standard cash resort rooms.

Thanks for the advice as I certainly never knew it was as hard as this to book a DVC room for 14 nights

I was thinking two weeks from 28th November 2025, can I just ask why is this so hard to get
Nov 28 is the day after Thanksgiving, a major four day holiday weekend in the US. If you decide to book a room through Disney, it would be a good idea to book as soon as you decide because that first two nights of your visit will be in high demand.

Good decision. Especially coming from UK I personally would not feel comfortable renting DVC from an agency or owner since there are no cancellations. 11 months in advance is a long time, stuff happens. Go through Disney and have a great time!

Well thanks for your honestly

I have some understanding about DVC but don’t no everything like some of you so just wondering why it would be so hard if I call the second it hits 11 months
DVC bookings don't follow the same demand pattern as Disney World as a whole. Those two weeks are historically one of the most in demand times for DVC owners to book. You have owners that walk reservations, meaning, they start booking a week in September. As someone told you members can only book 7 days at a time. So every day they modify that reservation dropping the first day and adding one day later. Until they walk it all the way to the week they want. So even at 8 am, there may be no room availability. If there is some availability owners that bought at beach club because they want to stay there and have their family trip planned will be on before 8 am refreshing their browser at the exact second they can to try to get the room they want.

That's a lot of work for a renter, when instead of taking your reservation, they have plenty of people who would be interested in a January Beach Club stay that will be much less stressful for them to book with a higher chance of success. So they will likely take that request over yours. Lastly, it's unlikely to find someone that has enough points to book for 2 weeks. It's much more likely you would need to find two different owners with Beach Club points both willing to gamble with a December booking and both getting lucky enough to get the room you want.

So I’m guessing two weeks at any time of year would be hard to get at the beach club or most resorts by the sounds of it?

It's definitely much more complicated for a renter. But there are some resorts like SSR and OKW that are much easier than the others. They're larger resorts and have more owners. OKW also has owners with large contracts because when it was first sold Disney required them to buy a minimum of 230 points.
