Beach Club - Shower Facilities at Pool?

Wondering about shower facilities at the Beach Club pool area. We check out at 11:00 but we do not have to leave for airport till 3:00. Will there be a place to shower and change?

Guests used to be able to use the shower and locker room facility at the BC Health Club, but that is no longer allowed. There are lockers and outdoor/exposed showers at the pool, but that's it. You would have to change in one of the bathrooms.

As Dansdad said, there used to be but no longer. The poolside showers are the kind used to rinse off before going in the pool. They will not meet your needs

Thank you both. I contacted Disney through their "live chat" and was just told that there are private showers at the pool area. Now I'm confused. I guess I'll check when I get there and if not, I'll change my plans for check out day. I just don't want to fly home with two sandy, stinky kids.

As weird as it is check where the laundry facilities are. Most of the WDW hotels we have stayed at have private showers in the same area as the laundry if it is not inside the hotel.

When we were there, the cast members told us that the showers next to the pool were the ones they were talking about.

They aren't enough to even rinse off. We were sandy the whole way home.

CM's are infamous for giving incorrect information. Unless these are new within the last several months, the only showers are totally in the open and intended for a quick rinse prior to entering the pool. I look forward to hearing differently - if possible.

There are most definitely no indoor shower and locker facilities at the Beach or Yacht Club for guests to use. There are locker facilities with showers available at the Spa at this resort but the staff will forbid you to use them unless you pay for a spa service for each family member that needs access to these facilities.

Contrast this with the knowledge that shower facilities are available for guests at the Value resort level. Management at the Beach and Yacht Club has been made aware by it's guests that this has been a problem (for years) but there is no interest in trying to accommodate the guests at this deluxe Disney resort. It seems as if Disney expects us to enjoy paying those higher rack rates with reduced amenities, you know, sort of like what is going on in the parks.

Welcome to the new Disney where you pay a lot more and get a lot less.
