Beach Club Room Request

What request should I make for the Beach Club Villas if I want to be able to see the EPCOT fireworks from my balcony?

In general you would request a woods view, but that may not guarantee being able to see any fireworks, you could have a woods view which is just that. Upper floors are usually better also.
What type of room do you have reserved, I could provide you with some room numbers of what I feel would provide the best Illuminations views.

The "Road View" offers a absolutely lovely view of the fireworks for 20 minutes a day. And traffic for 24 hours.

Epcot fireworks at BCV are, IMHO, a case of "be careful what you wish for."

We booked for Oct....and requested a room far from the elevator. I know, last time we booked a room by transportation...and we got to hear everyone leaving for the parks in the morning. It was conv. but noisy each morning.

So, we would rather walk a bit and be more private....I don't know what to expect...we'll see this Oct.

We stayed in 1br #320 our last trip to BCV. Good view of Fireworks and it's next to the main elevator.

Just out of curiousity, can you request actual room numbers? We are staying at BCV for the first time in May, this will be our first time staying in Disney as DVC members. I have heard from many people on the DIS that when I request a room in a Resort Hotel, to not request an actual room number because the assigner frowns upon that. I also know that a request is just a request, but wasn't sure if DVC requests are the same as requesting rooms for the Inns. We are booked in a Studio and have put a request in for the highest floor possible on the Woods side, but of course I will take any view I can get.

You can have it added as a note to your reservation, but it almost guarantees you won't get what you are looking for. That particular room needs to be empty the day you check in. Assignment has no way to tell if you want that because its your lucky number, or because you like the view - so they can't give you what you want.

DVC requests are less flexible than requesting rooms at CRO hotels. DVC operates at much higher occupancy rates as a rule, and on much smaller operational margins.

OK, I put in my room request for Woods View - High floor. We'll see what we get. Leaving in 19 days! Can't wait!

Yes, that's true. The road noise really took away my enjoyment of the balcony.
