Beach Club Room Question

We have booked two rooms at the Beach Club for August. We are flying our daughter, sil and grandson down to meet us. They have never been to DW and we want this to be a really special trip for them. We paid for water view rooms and were told if you get a good room you can see the Epcot fire works. Is that true? We have always stayed at Boardwalk so this is our first BC experience. Is there a particular area we should request?

We stayed there a few years ago, and from what I remember, water view rooms are facing the completely wrong direction of Epcot. The waterview rooms face the Dolphin, and epcot was to the left (looking out the water view windows) and back. I do remember being able to see some fireworks from the MGM area, though.

We just got back from the BC and we loved this resort. My family of four had a water view room w/ full balcony. You do not face Epcot w/ the water view rooms, but you can sit on the beach and see the high fireworks.

I love the BC but I would not pay the extra for a view to see Epcots illuminations. First, you would probably only see the very high fireworks. The show itself is a combination of fireworks and a light/laser show so you may get a burst of fireworks one minute and then "zippo" for the next 3 or 4. IMO its really a show that must be enjoyed inside the park.

I would probably request a full balcony and leave it at that.

Illuminations-a very obstructed sky view only- can really only be seen from certain villas at the BCV.There really is no good view of epcot( trees and buildings obstruct) , some of the high fireworks can be seen on the beach.

The good thing about the BC is you can walk 2 minutes to the bridge that connects you to the Boardwalk & watch the fireworks perfectly from there.

Except that, again, you can only see the high foreworks and maybe hear some of the music (if the wind is blowing the right direction). What you can se represents only a portion of the entire Illuminations show and experience.
