Haven't stayed there, but judging by all of the complaints that I see over on the DVC forums regarding poor room condition, it's probably about time.

The brief article only states that the hotel will get a face lift, not the DVC villas. DVC is supposed to have money set aside from the DVC member dues to do refurbishments on their own.

BCV will be included in the refurbs. BC will be first, then YC, and BCV will be done in the middle, overlapping the other two. (Per a CM in the BC/YC thread on the resorts board).

When we were at BC last month they has already started ripping out the carpeting is a few rooms. They had the old carpet laying on the lawn as we walking along the sidewalk to the secret gate to IG.

It's mainly room renovations and hallways being redone etc.

I just came back from BCV DVC--- our room was fine--- some chips on the furniture, one kitchen drawer didn't always stay closed, but the rest was fine. Clean and smoke free.

When I was down for the Rolex 24 last year, we stayed overnight at BC before flying home. It was rough then and that was almost 2 years ago.
