We just booked a Beach Club studio for 3 nights (Thursday, Friday, and Saturday) before our 4 night Disney Cruise on October 17,2010. How's the Beach Club? Anywhere specifically I should request a room? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I am interested in this answer, too.
We are staying at BC the first week in October for the first time.

Tough question to answer w/out knowing what's important to you...

We've stayed many times at BCV and love it...it's quite small, so although some rooms are closer to exits/entrances and elevators, none are all that far away...personally, I prefer ground floor, but some dislike that and want upper floors...

Anyway...bottom line is you can ask for a pool view vs a woods view...ground versus upper floor, close to an elevator...other than those issues, tho, I don't think there's anything else that would put one room location over another...

It's a terrific resort...the pool is great (and of course so is Stormalong Bay); it's so close to Epcot and easy walking distance to the Studios...we love it there...but there's no one location over another that matters at all to us...

Have fun!

I agree with the previous post - we'ved stayed at the beach club villas many times and LOVE them. Especially the proximity to EPCOT and the Boardwalk. Unlike other resorts, the BC villas are a small section of the hotel closer to the EPCOT side, and the views are all about the same - mostly trees. There's only one main exit/entrance, and a secondary exit to the parking lot, so unless you care whether you're close to an elevator or not, I don't think it's even worth requesting. Also because this is such a small hotel, there are not many studios. You probably won't get much choice anyway.

There is a small pool for the villas only and some of the rooms are close to it. Otherwise, Stormalong Bay, the main pool for the Beach Club (and a small amazing waterpark in itself) is a fairly long walk through the main hotel, but worth the trip! The gift shop and little food service place are in the main hotel - a short walk from the villas entrance.

I hope you enjoy your stay - I think you'll fall in love with BCV as so many of us have!

If you have kids, make sure you order a meal at Hurricane Hannah's, by the pool. They come with a bucket and shovel, great for the beach at Castaway Cay.

You'll be so close to Epcot for F&W. I think you'll be so happy with the location of the resort, you may want to add on there.

I am afraid of that - 'cause we have been looking at the TSS
offerings and we are waiting to see the Disney web cam. We do not
see the web cam till the 27th, but I am sure it will be posted here after it is seen on March 23rd.

Thanks for all the replies so far. We are from New England so I know I'll love the Beach Club. I'm most excited about trying Strormalong Bay and being so close to Epcot.

We are at Beach Club in a studio for 3 nights. Then the cruise for 4 night...then back to BLT for 8 nights in a studio, after the cruise. Can't wait... :)

There are maps of BCV here: http://www.parkinfo2go.com/dvc-bcv/
If you click on the Room # you can see the view from the Balcony.
We stayed in 1br #320 in December, was right next to main elevators & had a great view of Fireworks. We love being so close to EPCOT... it's a 5 minute walk!
