Beach Club Question

Just found out the Stormalong Bay is under construction when I'll be at the BC in January. Wondering if I should switch to another resort? Can get a similar rate at the Poly or CR (garden only).

What would you do?

As a separate question, if I stay at the BC, any recommendations on room requests for STANDARD view rooms?

I would consider the POLY but the BC area is much different. I personally like the EPCOT area and prefer the S/D. Their grotto pool is great--of course you probably wouldn't catch a "wimpy" south floridian like me in the pool in January, LOL!! I guess it also depends on how much swimming you plan on. The BC is still a very nice resort!

The only standard rooms I know at the BC face the parking lot, not sure if those that face the BCV are now considered standard or not.

There are different sections to the SAB and they are not connected. During January,only the Slide portion will be closed. I would stick with the Beach Club because of its proximity to MGM and Epcot. It's also got the WS, Boardwalk and Swan/Dolphin restaurants in addition to the ones at the Y and B Club.
