Beach Club or Boardwalk l?

I have never stayed at Boardwalk, but I heard about Jellyrolls closing with no replacement in sight. And Big River Grille shutting down going on three years ago now. And the dusty shack that used to be the Funnel Cake Stand. And the Promenade Fine Art Gallery, which is closing in about two weeks.

It has to feel a bit like a ghost town, and also like the remaining open shops/restaurants are probably a lot more crowded now. I had submitted six offers on BWV contracts since this summer, but I've stopped entirely and pivoted to CCV partly because of this. The value just isn't there for a 16 year contract that requires me to dodge tumbleweeds.
It def doesnt feel like a ghost town or overcrowded, we had a lot of fun there, there is a lot of nightly entertainment on the boardwalk and great restaurants.

I can't compare it to before because I never went there when Jellyrolls or the other places were there, but someone who has never been there before with nothing to compare to will probably enjoy it like we did, its def a lot more "fun" than some other hotels

We bought. into BWV in 1996 and have 0 regrets. We still love the vibe, even though it is not as lively as it once was. The CMs are top notch. Having the BW itself be a ghost town is a blessing and a curse. It makes for a much quieter stay in a boardwalk view villa. We loved our last stay with a BW view. Watching the fireworks from the balcony was priceless.

I get it that 16 years is pretty short time. At my age I don't think it will be an issue :) We also have added on at BLT and AK. Love BLT. Really a relaxing vibe and easy access to MK and the entire bay lake area.

Good luck on your quest.

If I could have a time machine, one of the first things I'd do is go back to 1996 and buy like 1000 BWV points. Truly an incredible deal for the last 30 years.

I have never stayed at BLT either, but I own there and plan to stay next summer. Super excited about it. I also own at Poly, and can't wait to get back!

Unfortunately 250 was all we could afford, but I hear ya. It is a great value and many happy memories. Don't think We will have that kind of opportunity again.

Our grandkids want to live at BLT permanently. Wish I had the points for that! We also own at AK and have our first trip there next month. That is if the plans fly.

Hope you enjoy BLT as much as we did. It was a little underwhelming at first, but it really grew on us.
