It def doesnt feel like a ghost town or overcrowded, we had a lot of fun there, there is a lot of nightly entertainment on the boardwalk and great restaurants.I have never stayed at Boardwalk, but I heard about Jellyrolls closing with no replacement in sight. And Big River Grille shutting down going on three years ago now. And the dusty shack that used to be the Funnel Cake Stand. And the Promenade Fine Art Gallery, which is closing in about two weeks.
It has to feel a bit like a ghost town, and also like the remaining open shops/restaurants are probably a lot more crowded now. I had submitted six offers on BWV contracts since this summer, but I've stopped entirely and pivoted to CCV partly because of this. The value just isn't there for a 16 year contract that requires me to dodge tumbleweeds.
I can't compare it to before because I never went there when Jellyrolls or the other places were there, but someone who has never been there before with nothing to compare to will probably enjoy it like we did, its def a lot more "fun" than some other hotels
