Okay we want to splurge and stay one night at the Beach Club the night before our cruise for Feb. 2008. When I look at booking it through Disney's website, it's like $445 for one night for a standard room. YIKES that is expensive!!

So I looked at Orbitz (we booked Pop Century through Orbitz this past April and got a much better deal than it would have cost through Disney - $82/night instead of the $134 Disney quoted us).

With Orbitz for this one night, it's $423 with taxes & fees.

We are also AAA members and I haven't looked into the AAA rate (I called to book AAA through Disney and had a bad phone connection). I can try doing that again later.

I'm getting frustrated though. I'm trying to figure out what the best method is to book the room at the lowest rate. So far there are no codes available for Feb.

I'd love some advice/input into what others do. Do you pay this rate for Disney deluxe hotels? If not, how do you get discounts or lower rates??

That's the weekend rate... the weekday rate is $70+tax cheaper. Sounds like your dates are already set, but something to keep in mind for the future!

Check your AAA, it's usually 10-20% off rack rate depending on the season.

I did a little more research and booked through a link on tripadvisor's webiste (bookit dot com) and got a room for one night at a rate of $366 including taxes & fees.

For January (value season) the YC is running me $276 a night with AAA. Are you in value season? The AAA website will let you see rates for the Disney hotels, it just takes a little manipulation.
