I called and requested to be near lobby elevators. The CM said that will be hard because garden view rooms are not there. So how far of a hike will I have to get to my room? I have a knee problem so I will rent a park ecv. I was hoping to walk to Epcot but Im not sure how much walking will be too much.

It's a good distance from the lobby but we like the section because you can nip out some doors that take you to a location that's about halfway closer to Epcot's IG than having to go to the lobby and then exit. If you request a ground floor room and are able to get it, elevators may be a non-issue. Last time we stayed there we were in the same wing as the garden view rooms (although we were in a water view) almost right beside the exit door that was near the volleyball court. It was so convenient going in and out of that door; we hardly ever went to the lobby. We're staying in garden view at BC this December partly because of the location.

I had a standard room. We got off the main elevator, took a left and a left down the hallway and we were about the 2nd-4th door on the right overlooking the front entrance. Dh didn’t like it because it got loud in the am, I was up so it didn’t bother me!

But it was so nice to be right at the elevator.

And the walk to Epcot has a little incline so I don’t know if that will bother you.

If you are planning on walking to Epcot, the additional distance inside the BC from the elevator to your garden view room as compared to "near elevator" will be negligible.

I believe that there are some garden view rooms at the Beach Club that are close to the lobby elevators They are the rooms that overlook the back entrance (lakeside) courtyard.

:goodvibes

We stayed in Room 3633 last week, which is a garden view room. It overlooked the back entrance courtyard and was only 5 or 6 rooms down the hall from the lobby elevators on the 3rd floor. It was also an accessible room, which we didnt particularly want, but we had a problem with our first room and that was the only other room available. The location was perfect for us though, since we only went to Epcot one day.
