Hi all,
Currently booked at Poly for Aug 2016. Thinking of switching to Beach Club instead. Just don't know much about restaurant offerings in that area. I know about the character meals at Cape May and that's about it. What would our options include for breakfast and dinners? We like a food court type breakfast typically. I like the idea of being close to EPCOT for dinner options. What in the Beach Club or Yacht Club are good food options?

Thanks

The BC marketplace is very small for counter service. Not many options. We always walked to the bakery in France for breakfast. But that doesn't open until 9am.

No food court in the area, only the BC marketplace, as PP mentioned. They do not have a huge selection. However, there are tons of wonderfuly restaurants at the Beach Club and Yacht Club. The Yachtsman steakhouse, the Captain's Grille, Cape May Cafe, Beaches and Cream, also a grill at the pool, I think Hurricane something. NOt to mention the neverending restaurant choices in Epcot, a 5 minute walk away.

We just finished our first stay at Beach Club two weeks ago. The BC Marketplace is really small. If you are wanting the traditional food court choices and seating area, the Marketplace really isn't it. They have a small choice of inexpensive meals and some seating outside, in the walkway or in the solarium. I saw many families buying pastries or boxes of cereal and small milks to share for breakfast. We shared a breakfast sandwich meal some of the mornings because we much prefer to eat other things later in the day.

Having said that, I would stay there again easily. We had drinks and afternoon lunch at Hurricane Hannah's bar area, margaritas and pizza from the pizza window at the Boardwalk, ice cream from take out window at Beaches and Cream, a nice seafood dinner at Cape May, a great dinner at Big River Grill at the Boardwalk, pastries from Boardwalk Bakery and if you are up for the walk you can go over to Picaboo at the Dolphin and have their food court.

The Boardwalk Bakery and the S&D are also nearby for other QS options. The lounge at the Brown Derby and Starring Rolls at DHS aren't too far either. Sunshine Seasons in The Land pavilion at Epcot is the best food court in the area.

There is a sticky here on this thread with all of the area places to eat. The YC/BC do not have a traditional food court if that is what you want. But there are so many amazing places to eat within the area it is incredible. If the Food Court is a must the BC is not for you.

IIRC, none of the deluxe resorts have a food court, so that shouldn't be a deciding factor, though the difference in QS between the BC and Poly might be.

But don't forget that in addition to Epcot, you also have the BW and the Swan and Dolphin, all within an easy walk.

I was a little concerned about it before our first stay at the BC, but the lack of food court has never bothered us a bit. I have had great breakfasts, lunches, and snacks at Boardwalk Bakery. We love Cape May for breakfast and dinner and Beaches and Cream for milkshakes. It is so quick and easy to walk over to Epcot and have breakfast at the bakery in France or to have drinks at the pub in England or to have dinner....well, anywhere in the World Showcase. When I stay at a place with a food court now, I am disappointed because I am spoiled.
