If we have an early morning ADR at the MK, will the buses be running from the BC around 7am? Is that enough time to get to the MK for an 8:10am breakfast at Crystal Palace? We are thinking of renting a car, but really, the car would only be to get to MK and AK for two early am breakfasts. If the buses will be running early, then I may just stick with DME and forego the car rental. Thanks.

We had an ADR for breakfast at CP at 8:30. We went down to the bus stop at the BC around 7:45 and made it there on time. Maybe 5 minutes late because we stopped to take pictures on Main Street.... but we were seated right away and had no problems. It's really just luck with the buses, we didn't have any issues on our last trip, but we've had problems before when trying to get a bus at the BWI, so there is always a chance it will be running late. But I think you'll be fine. :)

The best thing to do is ask the Concierge desk what time you need to be at the bus stop to get to your ADR.

I'm sorry but I totally disagree with that. The concierge desk has no idea what time the buses are coming. They are on a loop and just come when they come. Sometimes you get lucky and just happen to walk out there and a bus is pulling up. Other times you just missed it and end up waiting 15 or 20 minutes for the next one. Sometimes longer if they are having issues. And those issues are unforseeable to anyone. We waited 50 minutes for a bus at the BWI a couple of years ago because the wheelchair lift broke and they had to call another bus. Things happen you can't predict. The best thing you can do is try to allow extra time in case of problems.... but if you're late don't panic... we've never been turned away from a restaurant because we were late for our ADR time. The worst thing that can happen is you have to wait for them to work you back in. No big deal in the end. :)

Actually they can tell what time the buses start running in the morning to each park and if there will be a character bus for that park that day. I wasn't referring to an exact time. I made an assumption, probably not the wisest thing to do, that the OP understood that one should allow ample time to reach their destination.

The buses should start running at 6:30 AM, so if your out there before 7:00 AM you should have a lot of time to make your ADR.

Hmm...you must have been on vacation with me. I try to arrive at the bus stop an hr before my morning ADR, and never missed one yet. :goodvibes

My plan is to be at the bus stop at 7am. Our ADR is 8:10am and I'd like to take some pictures on Main Street before heading to the Crystal Palace. It is rare that the park is as empty as it will be at that time of day - so I'd like to take advantage of it. :goodvibes

I think perhaps we will skip the car rental and use the $$$ for some nice souvenirs. Besides, my kids really do like DME.

Thanks for the info!

We stayed at BCV 2 years ago with an ADR at Crystal Palace for 8:05. We were at the bus stop by 7:15 and a bus arrived soon after. We arrived at MK with plenty of time to take pics in front of the train station and the castle and still be the first family seated.

We had an 8:05 a.m. ADR at Crystal Palace and were told to be at the bus stop in time for a 7:15 pickup. We were walking out at 6:55 and just caught the bus as it started to leave (we had to run for it). We ended up being the only ones on the bus and were taken straight to the MK.

Another idea that I've read about here is taking a taxi in the morning if you're in a hurry to get somewhere. Much less expensive than a rental car, plus you dont have to worry about parking. It's something we're thinking about for our next trip, so I though I'd just throw the idea out here...

Have a great vacation!:)
