We're probably going to be staying at the Beach Club next Spring and would like to know if there are any low-cost breakfast options. We are going to get the dining plan, and with 1 sit down, 1 quick service, and 1 snack, it looks like breakfast we'll have to be at our own expense. Please let me know if there are any options.

Thanks! :goodvibes

Most convenient is going to be the BC Marketplace where there is a very small selection of breakfast options. You could walk over to the Boardwalk Bakery but IMO, it's a bit of a hike to pick up baked goods. There's also Picabu at the Dolphin which is a 5-10 minute walk.

The BC Marketplace has a few hot breakfast items, pastries and a refrigerator case with fruit/yogurt, etc.

Not really low cost, but the Captain's Grill at the Yacht Club has an awesome buffet. Mickey waffles and all. And it is quiet and not as crazy as Cape May.

I was really surprised about the lack of food at BC. I might consider having stuff shipped to the hotel for our family if you want to have breakfast before you head out each morning.

Not only is there the Picabu at the Dolphin but low lines for their breakfast ala carte bar with coffee, milk, fruit and pastries. Its a short walk. Breakfast for DH and I is maybe $10 (a pastry, 2 fruits and coffee or milk each).

You might also try the BW Bakery.

My thread regarding Epcot area counter service is getting a little outdated, but it might be helpful: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2790281&highlight=counter+service

Of the Epcot area resorts, we've stayed at BC (many, many times), YC, BWI and Dolphin. If we're not staying CL, we head to BC Marketplace for breakfast items. If you need a more extensive breakfast menu and more seating, Picabu at the Dolphin has a great selection.

I'll admit that it's no Captain Cook's - that's definitely my favorite resort CS. But we've never had any difficulty finding a light, quick breakfast in the Epcot resort area.

BC Marketplace for quick things to buy. I would also recommend bringing some quick stuff (granola bars/bagels/ ect) just in case you do'nt feel like going to the shop.

If you can try the Cape May Character Breakfast - its great!!

I would take some cereal, buy milk there and keep in fridge. Take muffins, canned/fresh fruit, instant oatmeal (run hot water thru the coffee pot). A few plastic spoons and bowls and you're set. I can't remember if there is a fridge and micro or just fridge but I do remember the gift shops around there (especially at the Boardwalk Inn) having a larger selection of frozen foods due to the DVC villa kitchens nearby. I think in the DDP it is just faster for us to eat in-room on our own and then eat in the parks later on the plan.

Whenever we stay at YC/BC and have the dining plan we use our snack credits at the BC Market Place for pasteries or yogurt parfaits and then pay out of pocket later for a snack to share in the parks.

We sometimes take the desserts from our CS lunches back to the room and have them the next morning for breakfast. At least once per trip we hit the bakery in France before leaving EPCOT and have them box up some tasty treats for the next morning!

I actually love the egg sandwiches from the market place. they are big enough to split with my DD or DS
