We are staying at BC in June. We have stayed there before and loved it but we were also on the deluxe dining plan at the time.

This time around we wanted to try to go more the QS route. Breakfast is big deal for us and I'm just coming to the conclusion the Epcot Resort area as a whole doesn't seem to have a great place for a QS breakfast- please tell me I'm wrong.

We have stayed at SS and BLT and they had great QS with lots of options for my kids. I just went to the menu for the Marketplace at BC and there is only one option for the kids- and NO mickey waffles- really!! We are a sausage and bacon type of family - just pastries isn't going to cut it.

Anyone help would be greatly appreciated.

I agree. Epcot resorts do not have a good QS breakfast. BC Marketplace is very lacking overall. You're best option is to go into Epcot....Sunshine seasons, but even that's not a big selection compared to SSR or CR.

I don't remember the marketplace cooking anything like some other resorts do (there really isn't a kitchen at the marketplace like at CT or GF). So the availability is pretty lacking unless you can find an item you really like (DD and I liked the egg, cheese n ham/turkey croissants a couple years ago).

We loved BC but hated the QS options so much so that we will not stay there again. They also only had two tables inside to eat at and maybe about 6 tables outside.

We tried the Boardwalk hotel for their QS options and it was Pretty much the same thing. . The bounty platter with the Mickey waffles are a favorite for us and you can't get that at BC.

I wish I could think of something to recommend in that area but I can't unless you want to do TS. Sorry.

We just stayed there and were on the QS plan. We brought breakfast items with us-English muffins, breakfast biscuits, pop tarts. While not the greatest it kept us satisfied until we got to a park for a snack or lunch. We got a breakfast one AM and brought it back to the room to eat. BOunty platter was ok. We went down shortly after 7 and my eggs were cold. Definitely stayed there for the location vs the food options.

Thanks everyone for your help. We may look into Picabu at Dolphin a little more- anyone actually eat there before? Also, I see Yacht Club has Captain's Grille- still a TS but at least it is more affordable than Cape May.
BC pool and location can't be beat but this does make me second guess our choice. I could have spent close to half as much on the same room at SS and get a nice QS that even accepts my TIW card.

We have eaten there a few times. Nothing fancy, but lots of choices. It is a cafeteria style place with a small 'store' like area at the end of the line (to pick up snacks to to take back to the room). Lots of seating, so that is nice. We usually just walk over from BC but you can take the boat over.

This is where we go. Not sure if it still applies, but we used to get a discount here when we showed our DVC card.
We were offered a discount this past January for showing our DVC card. I think it was 10% ... might have been 15%?

OP -- In January, while staying at BWV, we enjoyed selections from both Picabu and the Fresh Mediterranean Garden. I didn't hit Picabu for breakfast -- but I was very happy making a meal of veggie side dishes in the evenings. The Fresh Med Garden prepared fresh juice for me each morning -- as a "standing order/recipe" just for me: beet, celery, cucumber, ginger, green apple. They offered this as a "to-go" item. Don't be afraid to ask!

I also think that in general Deluxe resorts are lacking in QS breakfast options. AKL seems to have the best. When we are at the BC we go to the Boardwalk Bakery or bring our own. Also if you are going in to Epcot, I think that Sunshine Seasons has the best breakfast options, but that doesn't always fit into our plans.

Captains Grill has an excellent breakfast. The buffet is great (and reasonably priced by WDW standards). Never very crowded at breakfast so it is an easy place to walk into. Again not QS but a nice sit down breakfast option. Boardwalk Bakery also has a decent QS breakfast. And the kiosk outside on the Boarswalk has decent breakfast sandwiches to go or eat outside.

if you are on the deluxe plan you will have 3 ts meals a day. you could use one for cape may cafe and still have 2 left.

since you are very close to the epcot entrance you can go in to have breakfast at the french bakery. you can get in the international gateway before the park opens to have breakfast there. they do not have mickey waffles or bacon and eggs, but the food is very good.

You might try Picabu, a cafeteria, at the Dolphin?

I always forget about the Swan & Dolphin. We usually grab something from the Marketplace or sit down at Captain Grille. Thank you. We will have to check it out in October!
