Beach club/boardwalk in May..

Asking for a friend. They are in the process of buying resale. Won't be finished until end of Marchish. Do you think they would be able to get a ressie at Beach Club or Boardwalk that short of notice? (May 23 would be the day they would arrive)

That's the week leading up to Memorial Day weekend, so it may be iffy at the last minute (yes, two months is considered "last minute" for DVC). My guess is their best chance in those two resorts will be a Preferred View-Garden & Water at BWV.

The main thing to emphasize to your friend is that they will own DVC for many years. If they can't stay at BWV or BCV this year, they will have many opportunities in the future. Hopefully they are buying at one of those two resorts if that's where they really want to stay the most.

If they are trying for a 1 or 2 bedroom villa, then probably not. I have been trying to extend my BWV 2 bedroom reservation to include the weekend of May 25th for weeks. That weekend is sold out at both resorts in the larger villa category - all room variations. I have had a waitlist for many weeks for the BWV villa. I have not been checking on studios, so I can't advise on those.

I am on waitlist for any studio at Boardwalk during that time.

well got 2 days in May at BCV but it was about 4 weeks ago.

May has the flower/garden festavial at Epcot - since both BCV and BWV are the closest resorts to Epcot - they stay pretty busy.

studios generally go faster than 2-bedrooms.

I just wanted to say hello to a fellow Louisianan I think your friend will probably have very little chance of getting anything at those 2 resorts at only 2 months out. Last time we looked at a last minute booking was a little over a year ago and all that we could get was SSR or OKW. Still, there's always next time. That's one of the great things about owning DVC!
