Anyone have experience with getting a good deal for September at the Beach Club (or Yacht club or BWI)? We are planning a trip for September with our two kids (DD10 and DS7) who saw the pool on our last visit (Poly 2006) and loved it!:cheer2:

We are not residents of Florida and will be visiting for 10 days.

If you did get a good deal, a few questions:
When did you book?
Did you book direct or through TA?
Use any standard discounts like AAA?

Thanks!!!

You may be able to get a great free dining deal if they offer it again for September. Other options are to have one adult get an annual pass for AP rates, which are sometimes worth it. I have always booked direct with Disney with some sort of code or deal that I found on these boards.

Have a good time! My kids love the pool too :)

In the past I've always had good luck with AP discounts. That's the only way we could afford BC!

If you can go during the week, rent DVC points from a member and stay at BCV. When we go, we rent a studio for $120/night (Sunday-Thursday). It's a really great deal if you can work it out.

Thanks for the info :thumbsup2

I will look into the AP, I really hadn't considered that. Although since we are only taking one 10 day trip I will have to do the math to see if it is worth it.

I will also look into the BCV, hadn't thought of that either.

Thanks!

If you are going for 10 days, definitely get an AP. You'll get park hopping rights, free parking, and if an AP rate is available, it'll pay for itself after a few nights. And then you can get the DDE card which will save you on eating out!

I answered another DISers post yesterday that might help you too - they show what the AP room only specials were for your time last year, and then what some DISer actually paid (example:BC/YC @ $235 per night) - I'll paste it again here :goodvibes

:goodvibes The AP rates came out on 6/20/07, and here's what the info showed back then, followed by what rates some DISers posted that they got:

(This is expired of course!)

From 6/20/07:

Some posters also reported this:
WL for the dates Aug 26th - 29th for $140 a night (Code BUK)
WL for $140 too, 8/29-9/2 (Code BUK)

Wow Seahunt, that is great information.

By what I can tell; I could book a room now, call back when AP codes are released (assuming they are) and get the AP rate. Now, can I book the AP rates then purchase one annual pass for me? It seems that I would have to have one adult pass at checkin, not at booking.

I did the math and it works out well, expecially considering that I only need three 10 day passes instead of four. For a 10 day trip it will save about $700 off rack rate and be $200 lower than the best AAA discount. That is before any DDE discounts!:woohoo:
