Hi Everyone,

I am going to The World the middle of May with my DW and am staying at BC, I requested a Balcony when I made the reservation, but now i am seeing that they have 2 types of balconies, Standing Balcony and Full Balcony. Is there any trick to getting a Full Balcony? Since this is the first time in a while that we are going alone to The World, I would love to be able to sit outside and take in the view.

Any thoughts?

Thanks in Advance

Nathan

I would change my request to 'full balcony' and hope for the best. If a full balcony is very important to you, you could change to the YC where full balconies are the norm. It is booked as a separate resort, but it shares the same amenities with the BC. (notably the pool)

Good luck!

Be sure that "Full Balcony" is your only request. At the check in desk ask if they were able to meet your request. If not, are you willing to change rooms after, if a room with a balcony opens the next day etc.? If so tell them that
About 50% of the rooms have full balconies. It really is the "luck of the draw" whether you get one or not. There is no magic trick to securing one
Good Luck

I agree with the sentiments of the pp's. If it is very important to you I would make it your only room request or switch to the YC. I've heard in the past that the general rule of thumb for room requests is that they try to accommodate at least one of the room requests and in my experience that seems to be the case. I've never had none of my room requests granted. So the fewer the requests the more likely you are to get a full balcony (in theory of course) The Juliet balconies are really only decorative for the most part. Not very functional but they look nice!

As others have said, it's the luck of the draw so if it's important try to move to YC, bonus it might be cheaper since it's due for renovations.

I'm gonna call to make sure I have a full balcony on the reservation. I really don't want the YC because I stayed there Twice before and I am trying to stay at all the resorts at least once and never stayed at the BC.
