Ever since our stay in Oct.2001 we cannot escape the Beach Club..We tried only The Yact and Boardwalk...ha ha not such a far trip from the Beach Club.anyone else have a home resort?

I hear ya! BC is our favorite. We do try to stay other places too just to keep things fresh, but nothing really compares to BC. It feels so natural for us to be there. The walk around the boardwalk each day....the sandy pool for our young kids.....Beaches & Cream, etc. We did the same thing as you did -- after our first BC stay, we stayed at YC and BWI, but then hopped right back to BC next time! The Poly is a nice place to stay too being on the monorail and it makes things easy with young children and stroller(s).

I couldn't agree more! We just can't seem to book anywhere but the BC! I love it so much, the location, pool, walk to Boardwalk and Epcot. It's just the best and it feels like 'my' vacation when I'm there!

We've stayed at most of them, but nothing beats the BC!!! We  it!!!

we have almost stayed at them all.....it boils down to saving money or not.

When we splurge...we like the Y / BC, when we want to save a little...it the WL. Here are our rankings.

Wilderness Lodge x 4
Yacht / Beach Club x 3
Disney Wonder
Port Orleans DL
Contemp
Poly
CBR
Old Key West x 3
Marriott World Center Vacation Homes x 12
Animal Kingdom Lodge
Off Off Off Off Site x3

Cheers.

Wellll, any tips you could provide a BC rookie would be great!

Enjoy SAB...

Eat breakfast at Cape May Cafe..mmmm good!!! Best meal!!!

Walk to Epcot... just because you can.... (we went one day just to get a churro and some popcorn... not that we needed either)

Watch the evening entertainment at the BW... they are too funny.

Eat gelato at the Marketplace...another mmm good!!!

and last but certainly not least..... Always speak to ART!!!! We just love seeing him!!!!

Love the place.

This October will be our 3rd stay there in a row.

Our thoughts are, it can't get any better. :)

were dying to stay there but cant afford it, we go value,,,,,,,,,u guys are soooooooooooooooo lucky, Im coveting your hotel stay!:lmao: :worship:

Sewer : Beach club rookie!

Here are some more positives of staying at the beach club!

The walk back to your resort after Illuminations is effortless!

After Wishes at the Magic Kingdom the lines for the resort buses are a complete zoo! The Yacht and Beach club are usually the most tame and organized lines and have the least amount of a wait. In addition it will only make two stops.

The boat ride to the studios to me crawls but the walk is great first thing in the morning or coming home after the park closes.

I also love the fact that is a super easy walk over to the Yacht Club. Check out the Captain Grille (old yacht club galley) if you cant get a last minute adr anywhere else you most likely will be able to get a table and a great meal too...enjoy!

My hubby and I have always stayed at the ASM resort, but this year we are splitting up our hotel nights. So we are staying 6 nights at the All Star Music and then 2 nights at Beach Club. I can't wait!! That is a splurge for us and I have a feeling that once we go, we'll always be wanting to go back lol. We booked our trip today and now I'm counting down the hours:goodvibes

Thanks shmily1, and lmo429! I know it will be a while before I go, but I'm getting excited already.

We can't stay anywhere else but the Beach. We actually put off buying into DVC until they put villas there! We tried the Poly this past trip, but there was no comparison. The Beach Club is home.

It's sadly been two years since our Beach Club visit.

And during our stays at other resorts, all I could keeping saying to DH was "This ain't no Beach Club!", "Don't you wish we were at the Beach Club?"along with several other comments along those lines.

After several days, he would just politely roll his eyes and sigh. Poor guy.

I can't agree more with everyone when it comes to the Beach Club.It just feels like HOME.It doesn't have that :snooty:ness like some of the other resorts(you know who you are).
Hey DAISYDUCKFAN you are correct and when we stay at other resorts due to cash flow my wife also has said those famous unmentionable words and phrases to me.I tell her "Yeah...like I don't want to stay at the Beach Club" I want to suffer and listen to you.Believe me..probably just like your DH has told you sometimes it just can't happen.
And BSOXFAN great idea to finding a better half interview in Disney. If they don't love Disney how could you love them.If I wasn't married I'd be sending my resume over and repeating those vows though one problem it would be awful noisy at home I'm a Yankee fan.

The only deluxe I haven't stayed at! Tried to go on December 20th for the weekend, booked at BC, flight canceled at 11:30 pm after waiting all day! Couldn't rebook because of holiday travel volume! Vacation canceled! Oh well, by hook or by crook we'll get to the BC next Christmas. Have to see the decorations in the lobby! Maybe we'll try to get there not so close to Christmas, but still in Nov or early Dec. Does anyone know the exact dates this year the lobby decorations were finished?

Count us in!

We've stayed at AKL and Poly, but when we stayed at Beach Club for the first time July/Aug 07 we definitely decided this would be our Home Resort. The boys beg me not to stay anywhere else. We just returned from another great stay at the BC Dec 9-16 where we were upgraded to concierge. We love the convenience of walking to epcot (the boys favorite park), love SAB and the boys expect to see Art, Raouf and Jordan every time we go. We enjoy Cape May and Beaches and love the convenience of walking to ESPN for a late lunch or Dinner. We are even looking to become DVC Members:goodvibes .

Cheers!

Thanks Goofy. I can honestly say I'd rather marry a Yankee fan than a non-Disney fan! :scared:

Im soooooo sorry your trip was canceled!!! esp to WDW. We had this happen to us when we were suppose to go to puerto rico. Our flight was a sunday which was canceled and the next one they could get us on was Thursday so we canceled the whole thing! It worked out for the best because we booked at WDW instead.

Thanks for your thoughts, LMO429. Yes it was a bummer, similar situation because of the short time frame we had to rebook. I'm going to plan better for next Christmas! Enjoy your Girls only trip!
