August 7th...hop in the car and drive to Florida
August 8th-13th Anna Maria Island
August 13th check in BEACH CLUB

August 13th pool then EPCOT..lazy day
14th Hollywood Studios after some early pool time
15th Tusker House breakfast then AK
16th MK evening including Wishes
17th Cape May Café late breakfast, chill by the pool and HS evening. Fantasmic that night (I hope...we've NEVER seen it)
18th More MK!
19th to me Epcot and Illuminations Dessert Party hosted by travel agency
20th check out Beach Club and do some MK rides...............
and check in to Hard Rock for 4 nights

"Hop in the car and drive to FL" I love how you made this sound like you're all just taking a little ride to the Dairy Queen. So is this "hop" the usual leave at night, right after your shift, then poor Brian drives 16+ hours? You know I always worry about that. The gang might never want to leave Anna Maria Island. What a nice, long stay there. Is this a two bedroom condo? You check-out of BC the day before DD and I arrive at Poly. So are you staying at HR because you're going to US? Are you driving back to Joisey in one day or stopping to see relatives or a giant ball of rubber bands, etc...?

I might work Thursday until 10p or 6a Friday morning, but yep we will leave Friday evening around 7pm-ish. I've learned that doing the drive after working 24 hours is "no Bueno" We will be at Universal so you are not safe from a Pas visit to the Poly my friend Anna Maria Island is a 2 bedroom condo which looks amazing. Bree just wants to see a manatee The ride home I plan to stopover to crash, it's all good!

The following resort change includes sensibility...this is not normal for me, but I assure you it is me I posted in the Universal forum regarding HRH CL vs. PBH CL, the pull of Portofino is strong That said, being that we are so close to our trip I saw that 2 Bay view rooms are available at Portofino for $300 less per night. So what's a girl to do??? Confer with DH and the kids. For sure the kids will want to keep Hard Rock CL, right??? Uhhhh, no my children are very bright and sensible. $$$ to them means more hours Mommy works, and honestly at Universal I love drinks at the Pool and Sal's pizza..not to mention Krusty Burger and all sorts of yummies. Long story short...for $1200 I can buy I lot of food. DH says if it was a longer trip CL, for 4 nights we can do without it So there you go! I have my week CL at Beach Club and then we head over to Portofino Bay....insert pics from our 2013 stay there....

Only connecting rooms IMO there is no bad Bay View location there. Ahh room service, PERFECT! We've also thought about cancelling Tusker House and just doing Captain's Grille breakfast (or CL), the Paslettes are not morning-friendly. DS14 has started training for cross country so he's loving the idea of a morning run around Crescent lake (this he does NOT get from us )

Cancel TH, you'll never make it over there and you can't make a last minute decision on these ADRs anymore. YAY for XC! Tell him to run down to DHS and back around. He can go as far as the turnstiles - love that trail.

That's probably what we will do I will tell him, he was watching YouTube videos learning the route. WDW YouTube videos a new Pas-time (see what I did there..)

Portofino Bay is in, I actually am debating adding CL on, if I go through cheap tickets I actually would only be adding $500 total onto the trip. I must be allergic to saving money on vacation plans It's Stone Harbor from 8/13-8/18 and then Sugarloaf from 8/18-20. Portofino is 8/20-24

You've got the hottest feet I know when it comes to resort changing, but ITA with just a 2-nighter. I think it'll be more relaxing for everyone if you stay put at BC the whole time and you're still doing PB after and AM before so that's plenty of unpacking, right? You can still book a GF ADR or tea

I hesitated posting this because I don't want to hijack your thread, but this dilemma is right up your resort changing alley so….

DD and I have a "magical" mother-daughter stay at Poly in 6 six weeks. It's her last summer vacation before she graduates so many months ago I told her to pick any resort, any split, of her choosing. She chose Poly, of which you may or may not recall, I'm not the biggest fan, but the rate ended up 55% off rack and it was DD's pick so it's all good. I would much rather do a split, probably with BWI, since this is for 10 nights. But DD thinks it's more relaxing this way.

I don't even know if the magical rate would be available, though I'm pretty sure I can get a slightly less magical 40% off. We're 6 weeks out, should I push for the split or never mention it again? I did warn DD that if I'm unhappy with Poly, I won't hesitate to move…again. Our last stay, we moved after a couple of nights to CR

This was another reason, it would be 4 moves....and we all know who packs up (and how much I love packing NOT)

Not a hijack at all Plus one of us has to change or think about changing Graduate, ahhhhh wasn't she just 13? I do recall your less than magical experiences with Poly, and you know I "get it". Rewind to my not getting lei'd at check in not once, but twice.....or wait was that all three times....I think a MK/BWI split would be most excellent. From the best of my recollection...it's Poly, CR GW, GF, WL, BC/YC at those rates. Poly, WL, YC/BC (might be sold-out)...and the CR and GF are around 45-50% off 40% at BWI is nothing to sneeze at. I think anywhere you ladies stay will be magical, but I won't stay at Poly until the construction is completed just because I am ultra-construction-phobic

Thank you for your feedback. I don't think I'll bother DD, (yep, she's 16 now) again with the prospect of a split since I know she really doesn't want to do that. Great seeing a picture of some of your cuties and I can't wait to see lots of vacation photos soon!

We are good Mommies, keeping the kids happy If she wants to come visit the Orlando version of Italy, I'm a text and a short drive away until the 24th I will pick you up (and maybe bring you back to Poly)
