We usually go to the gulf beaches and they get algae/seaweed bad in the summer months. Does Vero have this same junk in the water? We are looking at September.
Thanks

We went to Vero last August and loved it. I don't have any recollection of seaweed at all. Lots of sea turtles/nests though! We plan to go again.

I live on the gulf and that is normally just in June and early July the beach is wonderful now. It is called June grass

I have read on tripadvisor that Panama City Beach is really bad now with algea, seaweed, and sea slugs. Mrsurfs.com is reporting red tide/bacteria in water today. Are you close to there?

We planned to go there next month, but it seems this has been a really bad year--we were there in July and it was the worst we ever saw. We just might have to go to Vero instead;). It is 3 hours further to drive and we want to be sure it is clean if we do so.

We do Vero every August and this hasn't been a problem. Have been a few jellyfish stings though.
