When Disney says "the holidays" they generally don't mean Halloween. They mean Thanksgiving/Christmas/New Years. Since we have absolutely no concrete dates or information from Disney yet, it's possible that there may be an October opening, but if I had to guess I'd say November. September sounds unlikely.

We're hoping for October too, and even left a spot open on our ADR's - just in case. But I'm also trying to face the reality that it might not be, so we do have backup dining option, for which we don't need an ADR.

I did see some pics on Facebook yesterday of the outside and it looks to be coming along nicely, but there isn't much info being released about it and that last bit, about opening "for the holidays" was rather disheartening since we had really been excited about the possibility of it being open prior to our Oct trip.

We know pretty much nothing.

There was some speculation that it could be a character meal similar to Chefs de France and Remy, but not sure who the character would be. And there has been nothing out of Disney about it being a character meal.

Honestly, I'm kind of holding out hope that it isn't a character meal. Is that anti-disney of me?! I mean, what characters would be appropriate in a Beauty and the Beast themed restaurant other than princesses? And we already have princesses at CRT just a short walk away. A regular sit down, order off a menu, not family style would make me very happy.

What is the character meal at Chef's? I'm not familiar with it. We ate at Chef's last December and at one point a man came around with Remy on a tray. It was so quick we really hardly noticed and honestly, my girls just didn't seem to care! Is that all it is?

NO!!!! i want it to be open by early November.. Arrrgh!!

If they really want it OPEN by Thanksgiving (and that's a great big guess on my part), you MIGHT see some sort of soft or limited opening late in October. MAYBE.

But I'd hardly count on it..and I certainly wouldn't count on being able to make ADR's for it. Likely, like other restaurants before that have soft opened, it would be limited operation hours for walk ups, only.

Wonder when they will have the menu up? I hope it is one ts credit as I can't say I would spend 2 anywhere just because I plan it out that way and with my picky eaters it would likely be a waste. Any how if it has a good menu I plan for this to be our first night meal as I love Beauty and the Beast.

When we called in our ADRs the other day, the CM said to keep checking back because there will be ADRs when it opens (although he didn't know a) when it would open or b) when ADRs would open).

Just sayin' what he told me...

We are traveling Dec. 5th - 9th..... keeping my fingers crossed it'll be open by then!!
