Ok - I know this is a new and very unique restaurant in MK, but really what is up with not being able to get reservations? I'm not going until Aug 25th and tried to book as soon as the 180 day reservation window opened and NOTHING!!!! Every day though Sept 1 was booked solid!!!!

Is there a possibility of a cancellation or should I just forget about it? What are the chances of getting in on the days were there in MK due to last minute cancellations? I really would like to eat there, but looks like I never will.

Thoughts/Comments/Any Suggestions?

Thanks!

I think all of the 180 +10 people are getting the reservations. I have been trying too and haven't been able to get anything for dinner.

There is always the possibility of cancellations, so just keep trying. Especially at the 45 day mark, as some people will cancel before their final payment. I know this is a little different, but I just got a 8:10 Akershus ADR 2 1/2 weeks before I arrive. So there is a chance. :)

When I booked reservations for my May trip, the only BOG ADRs available at the 180+10 window were a couple of 4 p.m. or 9 p.m. ADRs on two of the days during my week. Which seemed insane.

Cut to a couple of weeks later and Facebook blew up with people reporting that ALL OF THESE BOG ADRS HAD MAGICALLY SHOWN UP. I just tried to make my August ADRs and had the same sporadic options even six days into my trip! So I'm giving it a few weeks before I get completely frustrated because this may just be Disney's pattern with this restaurant.

If you can't get in for dinner, you can always try for lunch. There is a FP+ option for it (that doesn't count towards your regular daily 3)

https://beourguestlunch.disney.go.com/

I'm not sure when exactly the window for that opens up, but it's worth a shot if you really wanna eat there. It seems to be much easier to get in for lunch than it is for dinner.

Even checking every single day (as well as every day we were at WDW), I was never able to find an open reservation for dinner.

So we stood in line for about 20 mins for lunch, instead. :)

We could get nothing there for our entire length of stay at the 180+10, but about a month later, we called and were able to get a dinner ADR for what would have been the first night of our trip (we've since added on 2 nights before due to Star Wars Weekends, so it will be on night 3 of our trip). It is a 9:25 res, but we decided that late lunch and an extra snack and we'll be fine for that :)

what's your party size? Sometimes that makes a difference too...if your party size is an odd number, try putting in a reservation for the next higher size. So party of 3, put in 4. You will not be charged the no-show on the phantom "person" as long as the rest of you show up.:thumbsup2

Just keep trying. I booked BOG dinner for November 2013, the night before Thanksgiving at somewhere around 45 to 60 days out. Persistence is key. This is true for any ADR you want. I never book a WDW trip more than 4 to 5 months in advance and I've always gotten every ADR I want.

I was able to get a reservation for my last trip when someone cancelled. I got lucky and just happened to check at the right time. You have awhile before your trip there is definitely hope :thumbsup2

What time did you get there for a 20 minute wait?

My advice is keep trying, people cancel and also they open up reservations sometimes a week or two before your trip. I went last August 2013 and they opened up a ton of reservations a week before my trip. You should also try at least once a day. Also, if you can't snag one, I think you will be able to, you can go for lunch and the offer a FP plus option.

We did the FastPass lunch in November and it was pretty much a walk in.

Follow the restaurants DIS thread! Last month I saw someone post that a bunch of BOG times had just opened up. I used MDE to check and I was able to book a 7 pm dinner for our arrival day, next Tuesday!

Good luck

I just kept a tab open on my computer at all times with the reservation screen for BOG and just kept checking whenever I had a chance. I eventually got one and it was worth the effort! I have a feeling I will be doing the same thing starting this June when our 180 day window opens up...persistence is key!

This happens for almost every month a couple months in advance. Suddenly, Disney releases a bunch of new ADRs for BOG, so yes, keep checking the restaurant board. Also, subscribe to your months ADR cancellation thread so you can coordinate if someone cancels.

There was only one option for me at my 180+10 window that I took, but later I was able to find one for my arrival day, although it was at 915. Turns out I forgot to cancel my original reservation so I actually went twice!

Just keep checking, as others have said. Something should open up

Kep trying. I checked every day and I eventually got it at exactly 80 days out. There were three times available too. I didn't even book this trip 180 days ahead, but I just checked mostly every day and eventually it came up. Good luck!

We went last August. I stalked the website and checked for ressies multiple times a day for BOG to no avail. Like others have said, a few weeks before we left, magically a bunch of ADRs opened up and I got a perfect time.

I also subscribed to a "August cancellations" thread on here, so anytime anyone was going to cancel an ADR, I would know and could try for it if it worked out for what I wanted.

Keep trying, and if you don't get reservations ahead of time, try when you get there. Last year we traveled the same time frame- end of Aug. to beg. of Sept. and the day we were at MK, we were standing in line for lunch at BOG when they started taking reservations for dinner that night. Several groups were able to get reservations.
