Thanks for the input everyone! Is the food at either of the Mexico restaurants in Epcot any better than chefs/BOG? Maybe I should try to find a completely different option.

Having eaten at both restaurants in Mexico, BOG and chefs, I would choose one of the restaurants in Mexico.

I think the food at La Hacienda de San Angel (the restaurant OUTSIDE of the temple) is better, but San Angel Inn is still fairly solid, and eating inside the temple is a very nice, relaxing experience.

I'd stick with BOG. As others have said, the quality is about the same between the two. BOG is hard to get into and the theming is done very well. We didn't care for BOG the first time we dined there in 2014, but May 2017 we had a really good meal there so we're thinking the quality has improved. Frankly the dining at MK is a little dire, so I'd keep BOG.

We went to Chefs for the first time back in February and the food was very disappointing. My husband said never again. We went to dinner at BOG in May and everyone loved their meal. BOG is consistently good in my opinion. I also like the atmosphere better at BOG. The tables at Chefs are to close together for my liking.

This is a tough decision. BOG is a wonderful experience for die hard Disney fans, so I would say it should not be missed by those that fall in that category. The food was fine, but not outstanding. We enjoyed our meals at Chefs and would not hesitate to go back. Honestly, I think whatever you decide will work out fine. Both are great in their own unique way.

My husband and I are the only ones who have been to BOG (or Disney world in recent years for that matter!). Myself and my sister are the only ones who really get super into the Disney spirit so I'm worried about the food being disappointed for the rest of the party that doesn't care as much about theming. Such tough decisions!

frankly all the food except maybe the signature restaurants is not that great. Don't care what anyone says its theme park food and any decent restaurant is going to be better than this stuff.

BOG is so beautiful and the decor ( eg suits of armour) that I would go there, especially because most of you have never been before. I have eaten at both places and I liked my food better at BOG but the dessert was better at C de F.

If you prefer atmosphere/location convenience over food quality, then go for BOG. I find the food at Chef's de France to be much more authentic to French cuisine, and we've always had the best waiters there. Just to give one example on food quality, the BOG French onion soup is made with chicken broth and provolone cheese. The French onion soup at CDF is made with the traditional beef broth, onions and gruyere cheese---a huge difference! I think your family might find the food at CDF to be just as good if not better! I'd be happy to make other restaurant recommendations if you need more.

We really like the food at Chefs so we'll go there for dinner and BOG for lunch.

Hi everyone!

I have been going back and forth on this for weeks and thought input from the pros would be helpful.

We currently have a BOG dinner reservation for our party of six adults. I had dinner there once in 2016 and really liked the ambiance but found the food, especially desserts, to be unimpressive. My husband loved the salmon he got there so I made a reservation to go back on this trip with my parents, sister, and brother in law.

I'm second guessing this reservation as my memory of the food wasn't great. I'm considering swapping the reservation for dinner at Chefs de France. I think the food is just a notch better but am worried I'm mis-remembering about the poor quality of be our guest. I know once I cancel my BOG res it will be impossible to get back should I change my mind. Please give me any input you might have to help decide between the two. We are on the regular dining plan. Thanks so much!
Both have great ambiance although BOG is INCREDIBLE. But Chef De France is head and shoulders above BOG in food quality. Depends on what you're looking for. Both are can't miss!
