Be Our Guest in May

Keep trying to book Be Our Guest for May 17 (or any other day from the 11-17) and there is absolutely nothing available.

I've been checking online multiple times a day and have called a few times. Any other suggestions on how I can make this happen?

Are you trying for an odd number of guests like 3 or 5? We were trying daily to get one for May for 3 without success. After awhile we finally changed it to an even number, 4, and within 2 days we had an ADR. Then we called and had it changed to 3.

Yes - there are 5 of us. I forgot to mention that I have also been trying reservations for 6 as well as 5 just in case. I also look for "dinner" as opposed to a specific time.

I wish I had better advice for you. I guess we just got lucky. And DH finally got the ADR some time in the afternoon, not first thing in the morning when people used to suggest that you call because the servers update then. Good luck!!!

That's funny. The CM suggested I check first thing in the morning.

I am trying for 5/24-5/28 any day, any time. We have a party of 11 but I have even tried to make reservations for 10, 9, 8, 6, 4, etc. to see if we could get anybody from our party a reservation. Have been trying for weeks but nada.

I recently lucked out with a 5 pm reservation for 6 on May 2nd. We originally had an 8:30 on April 30th that we were not happy with since we have young children, then found out there was no electrical parade and my reservation would run right through Wishes. I kept checking every day, several times even, and finally got what we wanted. I actually found one for 4 then got one for 6 which I preferred. Both times I reserved them online, at 5:45-6 am EST. Keep trying!

I recently got a reservation for 2 for May 15 at 8:45pm. There were a few open when I looked the other day, but they went very quickly.

I was able to get the May 17th date I wanted thanks to the Dis. I was looking through here on Monday afternoon when someone posted that reservations had opened up again. I went right online and was able to get my first choice!

I also got an early May 17 ADR the other day when they seemed to release a bunch at a time. Maybe they will release more before then, who knows?

Make sure you are subscribed to the May ADR thread because people will post there if they are cancelling. I was able to get another one I wanted that way.

OK, a little but I really cannot fit in BoG while in Disney. Is there still the 'no exploring unless your eating' policy there? I'll be there in May, I'd love to take a peek, but I don't intend on eating there unless that's the only way to explore the castle.

At 180 days out I was able to make a reservation for one for May 14th. My mom then decided to go with me and I tried for a couple of weeks to find an ADR for two. I finally gave up and called to ask if they could just add one person to my ADR, since I'd be seated at a table for two anyway. As soon as I got the CM on the line, I started saying, "I've been trying to get an ADR at BOG for May 14th for two people, but". Before I could finish my sentence and say that I already had an ADR for one person, the CM actually laughed at me and said, "Yeah, you and everybody else. What do you expect? BOG is the number one reservation on property that everyone is begging for right now. If's it's not available on line, then what makes you think we can suddenly produce an opening for you?". She may have just been having a bad day, but she was really rude. When I finally got her to shut up long enough for me to finish my sentence and explained I already had an ADR for one, I just needed to add another person to it. She was still rude and said she didn't need to do that and to just show up with the second person as we'd be seated at table for two anyway. When I mentioned I was concerned about the restaurant being packed and that we may not get in with the extra person because of fire codes, she sarcastically said, "Well yeah, it's going to be completely packed, because they are overbooking that restaurant, but they'll still let you in. Don't worry about it." She then hung up on me.

I just wanted to let you know that last night at 4:45 pm, two of my best friends and their husbands met at the Magic Kingdom with no reservations for any where. they were going to try BOG. I actually told them, they wouldn't have any luck. However, they walked up and got a table for four immediately and so did others who were in the walk up line.

Beast walked in at 5:00 pm. They were able to have wine and were more excited about that!!! I think they were in the West Wing with the rose petals and lightening (at least that is what she texted me!).

So...my point is if you don't get what you want, you can try walk up. Although, I know that in other posts that I've read, it is totally useless.....so who knows?
