Be Our Guest! (Former BOG cast member perspective)

I recently got an email from Disney inviting me to sign up for BOG fast pass. This will be my first time experiencing this restaurant and using the fastpass invitation. My question is will I be charged for my order if for some reason we don't make it there during our time slot?

From what I know, you will not get charged for not showing up. The Fast Pass for BOG is like a fast pass for a ride, it's just used as a convenience to you so if you don't show up it's no big deal. Since it's not a table service and it's not a reservation they won't charge you the fee they charge if you don't show up for a reservation. So no big deal!

Thank you for posting. Does BOG serve a traditional Thanksgiving dinner?

I did not work there during the Holidays, however I do not think they do. They are built to mass produce the food on their menu quickly (and they are quite good at it).

Of course I could be completely wrong and they could serve it. So basically this is my way of saying I am clueless on this matter!

I'd love to know how to get a fastpass for lunch :)

Also, what is the best time to get there for lunch? We would love to eat there at least once and can't get a dinner reservation!

Is Belle also at the BOG character dinner, or is it only the Beast?

Are there other characters? Dd loves Belle.

Only the Beast. And it isn't a traditional character meal. He only walks through the dining rooms on the way to his study, where you can have your picture made with him after you eat.

If you are there by 10:00 or 10:30 right when it opens you won't have to wait for too long! Definitely the best time to go.

Yes, as jimandami said the Beast is the only one in the castle. Belle can be found next door at Belle's Enchanted Tales. If your DD loves Belle I definitely recommend doing that! It is awesome and I went at night during the Fireworks (which I know as a guest you don't want to miss) However there was no one in line and the experience was awesome, the whole room got to dance with Belle and everything!

Thank you for responding!

We haven't been to WDW since 2011 so a LOT has changed! We really want to eat here, you have helped so much I can't thank you enough!!! :goodvibes

Thanks for the perspective. Glad you enjoyed working there. And I totally agree with you on the line. If it's no further than the bridge, you're likely under 30 minutes.

A couple questions:
- I've heard that the babies faces you see on the ceiling in the main ballroom are those of the Imagineers that designed BOG. Is that correct?

- This one is the mystery to me. I get how you find a table that has a magic rose. But what I don't get is now that we have MagicBands we don't get a rose, but you still find us. When we go to an attraction, we have to hit that band in just the right spot for it to work, yet in BOG you can find it from a much longer distance. How does that work?

We were told about the babies by our server when we ate at BOG. She was part of the opening crew. Also the snow falling in the window of the main ballroom is the same animation scene from the movie.

Thanks for posting this TerminationStation.

I was fortunate to score a 5:25pm ADR. We would like to sit relax and enjoy a long leisurely romantic dinner with several drinks prior to Elec. parade & Wishes. Will they try to rush us out to change over tables or will we be allowed to relax? I'm thinking about 1 1/2 to 2 hr's dining time.

We really enjoyed our lunch there and didn't feel QS at all! My favourite salad for the holiday was there and we didn't have many other QS at all

Have a fantastic time! Definitely a lot has changed (a lot has changed for me since I was last there as well!) I hope you enjoy BOG definitely a beautiful place to eat.

Well then that is true about the babies, the people that work in BOG full time really know their stuff. And now I have learned a new fact so thank you! And yes I love how the snow is the same animation scene, I think that is so cool!

Disney is all about customer service so if they do try to push you out it will very subtlety. However, you can stay as long you like! You're the guest, so just relax and have fun!

To the OP, this is a but off topic, but we plan to have lunch there during our upcoming visit and were wondering if the kids' slow cooked pork meal is the same as the adult braised pork? The adult meal gets rave reviews, but my kids couldn't eat a large portion.

I am going back into my memory bank for this but I believe that they are the same thing except a smaller portion. However, upon ordering there will be lovely Cast Members in purple that will be able to tell you better than I can. Also from what I remember there are pictures next to the food when you go in and order for lunch but I could be wrong. Again this is an I-really-don't-know-but-I-am-giving-you-my-best-shot kind of reply. Sorry!

We have done BOG a couple of times, both lunch and dinner. Sadly though seating for couples is very limited, and we have been seated in the same section always by the door. Guess next time we will have to ask to be moved, for a change of scenery. We always enjoyed it, and the food was always worth it. The cast members, were always very kind and helpful.
