Be Our Guest during Covid

What’s your opinion of Be Our Guest during Covid with the new price fix menus? There are 5 of us (3 kids 10-11), going to celebrate a 50th birthday next week.
I’ve been reading that the food isn’t great now with this new menu. Should we cancel? We don’t have any backup reservations but I might be able to get one last minute.

I thoroughly enjoyed it in November 2019 and found it to be worth it. That menu has been there way before Covid, the only difference is that it is now the same menu for lunch and dinner. So reviews from pre-Covid may help you decide as well. The kids will be adult prices, so that may make a difference for you.

I went with my mom in October. We loved it. The food was fantastic and the service was top notch! The only reason we are not going in April is b/c my daughter wants to eat in Cinderella's Castle.

We go every trip. Last time in December....next time in March.
We really like it. The food seems the same to me and we like all the courses

you do realize that all 3 kids will pay adult prices even if they order from kids menu?

We love it but with kids that age I would think twice simply because it is so expensive. But if everyone likes the menu then I would do it.

Luckily they are pretty good eaters and will eat most of the meals. But yes, it’s speedy. It’s a 50th birthday for my husband so we wanted to do something special.

I ate there in October 2020 with my 15 yr old picky daughter. It was the best meal we had that week, Universal with one day at Magic Kingdom trip. It was expensive but worth every dime in our book. The atmosphere and food were outstanding.

The food wasn’t great pre COVID so I can’t imagine it’s gotten better. It’s an experience I guess, but only if you get to meet the Beast afterwards.

I might suggest a nicer restaurant for such an occasion Like Cali Grill but up to you.

Since we only have one day in the park we don’t want to leave the park during the day.

My food at Skipper Canteens was so much better than my food at Be Our Guest. It's way cheaper too.

We ate there yesterday. The food was very good and the experience was nice. The food has never been exactly "fine dining;" it's more like cruise food in my opinion. I feel like you pay more for the experience. We very much enjoyed it and felt it was worth it. I would definitely go back for a celebratory meal.

Be Our Guest is a must do every trip. We really enjoy the food, it's always been great. The ambience is superb, incredible decor detail. Service has always been great. We usually go later in the day , 7 or so, to end our day and try to time it so our meal ends close to fireworks. I would still go at that time, even though there is currently no fireworks. I imagine coming out to a near-empty park would be incredible! I have noticed that opinions really can differ about this restaurant. To us it is worth the price, but it may not be for everybody

We ate at BOG for the first time last fall and had a very good meal. The Beast walked through the dining room maybe three times while we were there, but it was just on a straight path through the Ballroom into the other rooms.

We ended up going last night and it was awesome! The Beast comes out several times and walks around and you can take pics of him from your seat but you’re not allowed to get up while he is out.
