Am I missing something? I was just looking at the menus for BOG and the breakfast price is a flat $24 for every dish on the menu -- more expensive than lunch or dinner. Why?

When we went in 2014, they weren't serving breakfast, but we loved the lunch and it was about $12.99 pp for meat entrees. Why in the world are breakfast entrees more? Do Belle and the Beast serve them to you?

Supply and demand. More people want breakfast there than they can seat, even at $24 per plate. Plus, a PPO breakfast puts you in a good position to get a no-wait ride or two on Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.

Because they can. I would guess because people have been making the pre-park opening ADRs in order to get a jump on the RD people and WDW decided let's charge for it. It is a lot of food but we felt, even at the lower price it wasn't worth it but we aren't big fans of BOG any way and could care less about PPO.

I know I should know this -- but what is PPO?

People are willing to pay big bucks for early entry, Disney is willing to accommodate

It's insulting really, but as long as people keep paying those prices, Disney will keep charging them! I'll wait and do a nice lunch which will cost us almost half the price!

A lot of people share entrees at breakfast so I guess they figured they would upcharge.

We have a PPO ADR at BOG. We are certainly not going for the food. I've already warned the family that this is a 'faux' breakfast.

The breakfast sandwiches sound good to me! But then again I love breakfast sandwiches!

Well, your first mistake is in assuming lunch prices are the same as they were in 2014. ;)

Still less than breakfast though. And keep in mind that there is no minimum purchase. Some groups are sharing breakfast portions.

Does anyone have pics of any breakfast options so we can get a sense of the serving size?

Thanks!

People are sharing because of the cost. If they were in line with other breakfast entrees, people probably wouldn't share.

Google it or try the disneyfoodblog.com They have reviewed it and posted pictures. I believe Josh at easywdw.com also has pictures on his reviews.

I made us a PPO ADR for December at BOG. My husband just kind of goes with the flow and I do the planning so I'll just have to give my best charming Disney princess smile and eye-bat when he sees a $24 donut on the menu. We will probably end up sharing as well.

The price IS ridiculous, but if you can share an entree, I think it's totally worth the cost. My sisters and I shared two entrees between the three of us and were plenty full by the end of our meal. If you do two separate reservations, you can also get an extra pastry tray. We took our pastries to go in a Ziploc bag and snacked on them later in the day.

It's the PPO 7DMT ride(s) that really makes the price worth it though. Because we were able to get 7DMT out of the way (without using up a FP), we were able to beat the crowds to some of the other rides, which allowed us to get more done throughout the day. The price has gone up $2/entree since our January trip, but I'm still planning on booking it for our trip next year.

Actually they were sharing or just buying a cupcake and a coffee before they increased the prices. There was lots of talk about it. Because most people book it for the early entry, not the food.
