Be honest.. Do you ever leave the dirty dishes...

I hope tomarrow is a better day for you Rita.
Sleep well:D

Yes I do, especially if the dishwasher is cleaned and needs to be emptied and I have not gotten around to it yet. If we use a pot or pans for dinner and food is suck in it then I usually do those right away b/c I hate having the food dry and get really stuck, that requires more effort to clean then. Mostly everything gets rinsed and placed in the dishwasher.

I have on occasion. Of course, if I don't light a fire under anyone's butt in the house, I'm usually the only person to load the dishwasher.

If the dishwasher is full and I haven't had time to empty it, I will leave the dirty dishes in the sink. But usually it is rinse dishes and put them in the dishwasher and whoever cooks usually ends up doing the dishes (DH most nights.)

Never. I also do most or all of my pots & pans as I go along or while I'm waiting for everyone to gather around the dinner table (so there's less to do afterward!)

To be honest...yes. :o :o :o

In my parents' house, there is never a sinkful of dirty dishes. Except for an occasional glass or two.

But in our house, the dishes get done when they get done.

I would LIKE to have an empty sink all of the time, but I have just never been regemented enough to HAVE to have it that way.

Sometimes I wish that I was. :(

We don't have a dishwasher so they are all done by hand.

Usually, it's not to bad and mostly they get done every night. Lately, though, that hasn't been the case. Usually I can count on DH washing a sinkful here and there but he broke a finger a couple weeks back and ended up having surgery on it. It's still in a splint and he's not allowed to get water on it -- sometimes I think it's all a scam that he made up with the doctor -- that splint better be coming off soon;) . So, that leaves me to do them all and I'm getting tired washing dishes -- all the time it seems.

Someday, when we remodel the kitchen, we'll add the dishwasher.

Its rare to find my sink without any dishes. When I first started reading this post I started to feel bad since so many of you seem to keep a nice clean ktichen however I'm glad that there are also people like me out there.

I seem to unload the dishwasher only when I need something that is in there and clean or if I need to wash something I'll need later in the day. My fiance said he would help with the dishes now that we have a dishwasher but I can count on one hand the times he's loaded/unloaded that thing in nearly a year. Maybe after I graduate next month and find a full time job and don't have homework or a part time job in the way the house in general will be much cleaner. I know, excuses, excuses.

I'm 22, my roomate is 22...we're in college and our poor apartment doesn't have a dish washer and neither of us are dating on either. :teeth: So instead of waiting till the morning, we wait till the end of the week ususally. Right now the pile is up over the faucet of the sink so we have to go to the bathroom to fill up a glass of water. But hey the end of the week is coming so by Sunday they'll be done. :)

Yes I have, more than once. But not tonight. :teeth:

All the time, the dishes are the one thing my DH does around the house. I rarely do them and try not to care no matter how bad the stack gets.

Not that the rest of the house is clean either but I do eventually get around to cleaning the other parts.

Ummmmm....yes!! Please just don't tell my mother...if she pops over I'm busted!!! Then I listen to how could you do that ..blah..blah...blah.

Funny about dishwashers...
We have always had one, but I don't use them for dishes.
Tried it once and it seemed like just as much work, if not more than washing by hand in the sink.
I use my dishwasher to store paper bags, lol.

LOL Wishy, I don't have a dishwasher, always wanted one though. :)

No because it drives me crazy. I like everything to be clean and put away so I don't have to deal with it the next morning when I wake up.

Absolutely! But don't tell my Mom she didn't raise me that way. Come to think of it I hope she never steps foot in my bedroom either. :o

sometimes a late-night glass or plate...
but dirty dishes should go in the dishwasher.

Curious, how annoying (or not) is it when others leave
a bunch of dirty dishes in the sink ... for a day or more?
It annoys the #$#@!@$ out of me ... just wondering about normal people ... LOL

:D :D :D
