My boyfriend and i are going to Disney in mid december as part of my early bday celebration (my bday is new years eve-definitely not going that day).

Last year we hotel hopped and looked at all the xmas decorations and then had dinner at CRT. This year i was thinking about having dinner in one of the resorts. Does anyone have any suggestions? I thought about Ohanas, the menu looks pretty yummy. :confused3

Oh, so many choices. I will just list some of my favorites that you can consider:

Boma or Jiko at Animal Kingdom Lodge
Narcossee's at the Grand Floridian
California Grill at the Contemporary
Flying Fish at the Boardwalk

The list could go on and on. I'm sure you will receive more ideas from your Disboard friends.

Thank you for your suggestions! Someone at work has also recommended the California Grill, that place must be amazing!

Artist's Pointe at WL is also a fantastic meal. Happy early birthday!

I could happily recommend any of the following:

1900 Park Fare
Artist Point
Big River Grill
Boatwrights
Boma
Chef Mickey's
Spirit of Aloha Show
Narcoossee's
Whispering Canyon

Thanks for the bday wishes Cee :)

Dawn68PA: I've always wanted to go to 1900 Park Fair, and I considered the Spirit of Aloha dinner show. Could you tell me more about those two, please? :)

It depends on how much you want to spend -- do you want to do a "fancy--signature place" or just a one table service credit. Or are you not even on the dining plan.

Some of the places we have celebrated are: Fulton's in Downtown Disney, LeCellier, Rose & Crown and Biergarten. We've read rave reviews of Ohanas and The Wave for dinner. Personally, I would skip WCC unless you want a poor meal with some "maybe" antics. Also, Flying Fish continues to get stellar reviews.

We're not on the Disney Dining Plan. We live out in Tampa and just go for a day trip out there :) I don't really know much about it :-/

I'm up for anything we haven't had before...which is mostly resort restaurants. We actually tried the wave last year for lunch and it was GREAT!! I had the burger and it was really yum. They even surprised me with a little bday dessert, it was so cute :)

We did WCC for his bday, and got stuck in the "library" :(

1900 Park Fare has a nice buffet and the stepsisters are hilarious. This is my favorite character meal in WDW. The food isn't top notch but it's definately good. My DH is picky and he likes it here as well.

The SOA dinner show is unlike anything else at Disney. The storyline is cheesy but the dancing totally makes up for it. The food is flavorful and to this day I've never had such tasty rice as we've had at SOA. They take your picture and bring the package around for you to see and purchase during the show. That was a little pricey but I bought it and I'm glad I did. My mom says it's her favorite family picture she has of us.
