BD Cobb Salad ?

Can anyone tell me what the Cobb dressing is like? Is it kind of like Ranch?

No, it's not Ranch. It's not a creamy dressing at all. I really don't know how to describe it. It's got kind of tangy bite to it but it's not overpowering. They toss it all up for you and you end up tasting more of the actual salad than the dressing.

I have the recipe for this salad (from a Disney cookbook) and it's "old style" French dressing. Which is basically a vinaigrette (made with cider vinegar, dry mustard, and a few other things.)

Yes, I remeber it being similar to a French dressing. It is delicious. The salad is one of my favorite things. All the ingredients all mixed just perfectly - definately a must try.

I agree-it is good!! It dosen't mask any of the other Cobb flavors--sort of "there, but not there".

Everything is finely chopped and tossed. I found it to be good but also on the mushy side. I liked it but I don't know if I would order it again. The dressing is tangy but not overpowering.

We loved the BD Cobb Salad - got the recipe from the waiter. As the other posters have stated, the dressing is good but not overpowering, the flavors of the egg, bacon, avocado, Bleu cheese really come through. MMMM!! Perfect!

Our whole family really dislikes bleu cheese, so we all order our Cobb's without. Half of us also order ranch on the side instead of the standard dressing. No matter how you switch it up, it is always a great salad!

Don't get me wrong, I really liked the Cobb Salad, however, my only slight complaint, if you can call it that is I wish the dressing was a little stronger. Just a little more would have done the trick. Having said that I really enjoyed the Brown Derby and the Cobb Salad. It was one of the best restaurants we dined at during our August trip.

A little side note: My worst dining experience was the Sci Fi Diner. If you go stick with the lunch menu like a hamburger but don't go for dinner and order any of the more fine dining entrees, they don't know how to cook that stuff there. Stick with the Brown Derby for that type of food.
