Hi
We are checking in July 2 to AKL in early afternoon. This happens to be DH's BD. Who do I contact resort or restaurant at AKL to have a small cake delivered?
DS(10yr) and DD (6.5yr) will be upset if we don't have cake for Daddy's BD.
Also do I need to bring BD candles along, or do they come with it??(we're flying in)

Thanks for the info...the DIS always knows.....
:cake:

We contacted the hotel directly 2 days prior to arrival. They actually don't get your reservations into their systems until 3-5 days prior to you coming. Anyway, we called later in the evening to avoid any rushes (around 9:30 p.m.) and asked them who we needed to talk to. The young lady ended up handling it. We had a small cake (served 6) delivered for my dh's birthday. When we got there we where surprised to see a cake with a couple of candles, plates, forks, balloons and a card from Mickey (oh yeah, some birthday hats and horns too). It was great. We offered to pay, but they said not to worry about it that they live to do these things. I thought it was really great. I can't say that every resort does this, but we tend to be at Disney on Birthday's, Anniversaries and or Holiday's on our trips and they usually do really well. Only once at the Poly did they completely drop the ball. No big deal though.

I hope this helps.

I want to get a cake for my DH birthday and our anniversary.
We are staying at POFQ this time. Who can I call? Any suggestions?? Thanks :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Just keep in mind that if you want something special for an event you are celebrating to arrange and pay for it yourself.

Counting on WDW to do something for free will lead to disappointment. Many many people are celebrating special events at the resorts.

I wasnt planning on getting it for free. I was just looking for some suggestions. Thanks.

Just call the resort and tell them what you would like. :D

You need to call the disney operater and ask to be connected to AKL private dining. They are the one that can take care of the cake and deliver it to the room.

I am not a big one for calling a resort. They have hundreds of people calling and faxing requests i think some times your request gets lost. We stayed at the CSR this past Dec and celebrated my mothers b-day. Two nights before her b-day I went down to customer service and asked about getting a cake. We wanted it waiting for her when we got back from the parks. He said no problem he was going to send her baloons and if we wanted he could place a gift we bought with the cake. He then led me down the the bakery at the pepper market and I picked out wich cake I wanted. Everything was charged to the rooom I think it was 12 dollars for a small cake, plates and forks were also brought up it was a wonderful surprise for my mom. ::yes::
