HOW MUCH ARE ADD ONS GOING FOR AT BCV & BWV'S? HOW HARD IS IT TO GET THESE ADD ONS?

Here are the current Disney prices per point to add on at BCV and BWV:

BCV = $101
BWV = $98

I've done 4 add-ons at BWV and 4 add-ons at BCV. Of the 8, I only had to waitlist once (for BCV), but the wait was a bit less than 4 weeks.

Our use year is August, we got the points in about 3 days after I contacted my guide.

Because we love going to WDW and love staying in a villa. We dial up our investment in DVC in small increments.

For ease of dialing down points at any one resort. If I happen to stay at GCV or CRV and decide I want to buy points there but dial down the number of points I have at BWV, for example, it's pretty quick and easy to sell one or two 25 point contracts than one big one. Plus, I probably wouldn't want to sell my whole BWV contract, but would keep enough to book a BW view for a week every 2-3 years. Bottom line - I have maximum flexibility.

So, stupid add-on question. Hypothetically, say that I call my guide in September to add-on to my October UY at BWV. Would I request an add-on with the same UY, or would that be assumed? Would I want to call earlier in order to get my preferred UY??

Unless you are buying at least 160 more points, the add-on has to be for your current UY.

With an Oct UY, if you add-on before Oct, you will get both your 07 points and then your 08 points. You annual fees will be prorated, so about 4 months worth if you buy in Sept and about 3 months worth if you buy in Oct. You may want to add-on earlier than Sept so that even a short waitlist doesn't push your purchase into your next UY, resulting in a loss of 07 points.
