First time staying at BCV...just got lucky planning a last minute trip. Any tips, things I should know? Thanks for the help!:)

If going to epcot, you can avoid going through the BC lobby and cut 1/3 off the walk by turning left between the BCV building and the first BC building, and then following the path to the right. On the way back, you'll see the path as you reach the end of the first BC building.

It's usually faster to walk to DHS than wait for the boat.

That's probably the best tip for BCV newbies. Aside from that it's pretty straightforward as a place to stay. If you are driving there is usually excellent parking near to the resort.

As for room views, BCV doesn't have much in the way of great views. We looked at a bunch of trees on our stay, and the alternative is a quiet pool view. But in general I don't think people book BCV for the views. More for the EPCOT super convenience and SAB pool.

Must wear your magic band to enter main pool (SAB) area. Check out all the eating options at the Crescent Lake resort area. You can see the high portion of Illuminations by looking a bit to the left (if you are standing out front looking at BW) and you can see Star Wars fireworks pretty much straight ahead over the boardwalk area. Take a look at the turtles swimming in the canal that runs next to BCV. Even though World Showcase opens later than Future World, you can still go in the International Gateway entrance to Epcot at the time FW opens. (It's only about a 5 minute walk.)
