I've stayed at both and I voted for BWV. I voted because:

(*) Unless your children are total non-swimmers, Storm-along Bay is probably too "grown-up" and too big for your children. The big slide too long and fast and the baby slide too boring. Plus, the entrance for the slide is not in the pool area, but across the sidewalk near the lake. I think the pool is really big and it's hard to keep track of kids.

(*) Boardwalk's slide is fun and the entrance is next to the pool. My 5 year old swimmer went down it again and again this summer. The pool is smaller and you can keep your eye on they kids easier.

(*) You have the ability to request a room near the lobby and pool if you book at BWV.

(*) BCV is a bit of a hike from the lobby and a loooonnnggg way to SAB.

(*) There are many more dining option at the Boardwalk. I still think it stinks that neither resort has a "snack shop" type place like the MK deluxe resorts and AKL.

{edited to say "children" and not "grandchildren" :rolleyes: }

'We have points at both resorts and like each for the individual special features. Based on your group, I would highly recommend BWV. and I would be SURE to request a room near the elevators for medical reasons. Even a healthy active 80+ person can get tired of walking in the parks and to and from trasportation etc.

Hope you all have a wonderful time and please let us know what you decided.

We also own at the BWV and BCV but prefer the BWV. We like having the Boardwalk and all that is available right at our back door.

That's a tough choice as we've stayed at both. I chose BCV, though, because of SAB. We also like having Beaches and Cream so close, plus the extreme proximity of the World Showcase. The benefit of staying at BCV is you are also very close to the fun at BWV. Boardwalk Bakery, ESPN, Surrey Bikes, Boardwalk Entertainment, etc. Those are my favorite aspects of BWV.

BUT, if I were going with someone older or who had more mobility problems, I'd pick BWV. The 'action' is closer and more easily accessible.

It's a hard choice!!!

Our family of 4, 2 adults and 2 kids ages 7 and 8, like both, but prefer BCV. My parents also prefer BCV it that is any help. They like that they can walk over to BW if they want, but can come back to the quiet of BCV afterwards.

I am really surprised how close this poll is. I think that is great!

We just returned from 5 nights @ BCV and the whole time my kids (DD, 11 & DS, 9) kept saying they wish we would have stayed @ BWV. I second all the comments about the long hallways that could be tiring for both young children and elderly...whichever one you choose, try to get a room close to an elevator.

We own at both. We like BWV 's better! The walk from BCV 's to every thing is looong! The gradparents might find that too long. The pool is way to busy at BC. I woud take the walk in the hallways(BWV 's) over the walk to stormalong bay pool (BCV 's) any time. Hope this helps.

This is real simple for me, with two small children its clearly BCV. If you are not at BC you can not use SAB and SAB is great for kids of all ages (I must have gone down the water slide 100 times with my 7 year old in Sept.) You can still enjoy everything at BW, its just a short walk or even shorter boat ride away.

Of course I am biased, I own at BCV.

Thanks so much to all of you for your advice. I unfortunately had the decision taken out of my hand since we waited so long to decide the extra room we need is not available for the BCV so it looks like we will be staying at BWV. Which I am definitely happy about!

We are going on a larger trip with many of my neices and nephews next year and I think we will stay at BCV then because of SAB. But since the slide will be closed while we are there this Feb I don't feel like we will miss out on too much. Plus I believe the Greatgrandparents will like the feel of BWV.

Thanks again!! It was fun watching the polls! But to be honest I am "polled out" for this year!!
