EpCot view (which some of us are being told is almost nil)
or
Quiet Pool view?

and does the top floor (5th fl?) have open or enclosed balcony?

rooms in the 550's all have epcot and showcase views for the illuminations show, in the BCV. Rooms 555-565 are smack behind Canada so the view is unobstructed

My husband and I have stayed at the BCV 3 times.
Our trip this Oct was the best because out of all the three Epcot view requests, this one had the Epcot sphere centered in our view.
I could sit in bed and look out the window at Spaceship Earth.
The other trips, we could see some of the tops of the buildings and the fireworks for Illuminations.
We haven't tried the quiet pool yet....

how about a woods view????

or a view of BC?

Unfortunately, I constantly argue with MS every time I reserve at BCV. They INSIST there's no such thing as a woods view. It's my favorite view though. The only choices they'll give me are pool view, Epcot view, or courtyard view. For my next trip, I asked for courtyard. Don't know what I'll get, but I sure hope it's really the woods view!

We don't ask for any view :) The only thing I request is N/S and Non-handicapped accessible.

I believe the courtyard view will be near the front where Ariel sits. You look at the BC and the Valet stand. We had that view once and I enjoyed sitting on the balcony to people/car/limo watch.

We ask for the woodlands view, which is very quiet. (After the hurricanes, it's very sparse as well.) We also specify "non-smoking, non-handicapped, quiet location."

We just stayed in room 557..... awesome view. You do get a road below w/ high traffic, but it didn't bother me a bit. Like Erin12303 said, I could sit on my couch and look to my right and see Spaceship Earth. And we had a great view of fireworks. I think the pool view would be lovely as well, but I enjoyed seeing the fireworks this time. We looked right at Canada. :D

Which category is the majority of the 2bdr lockoffs located?

I tried to request the EPCOT view yesterday and they said that no longer existed due to upcoming construction so I just decided to see where we'd end up and didn't request a view. Just n/s and non hand.
Curious now where I may end up.

One time when I had that view, my paperwork said "hole in the ground." Perhaps we should try requesting that! I love that view too as well as the SE and road view, and Fairy ring and road view. And yes, the vegetation is sparser after the hurricanes but still very cool.

I have stayed at the BCV four times. My favorite room was a first floor pool view. We really loved the convienence. That was a 2 BR lockoff. I also loved another room on the 3rd floor with a pool/canal view. It was beautiful and very quiet. The other views were "Epcot" views, but both rooms dealt with road or air conditioner noise.
