BCV Turndown Service ?

A while back I had read that we could request (for a fee, I believe $10/night) turndown service if staying at a DVC resort that is part of a Deluxe resort (like BCV, VWL, BWV).

I believe it included turn down of the bed & replacement of towels.

Does anyone know about this? Is it still offered to DVC guests? What is the cost? What is included? About what time do they come to do this?

I don't want to pay for additional towel packs and DH is distraught that we will have to make our own beds (though I normally make the bed at home, so I am not sure what the problem is :goodvibes ).

This will be our first trip home since buying DVC and we are unsure of how we will take to limited mousekeeping (especially towels). We will be staying in a studio, so we will not have access to an in-room washer/dryer to take care of the towels.

Thanks in advance for your input.

I am certain others can answer your questions precisely, but our grown children did have turn down service at BCV earlier this month. They enjoyed the service and will do it again. They had a 2 bedroom and the only "problem" they had was they only did the one bedroom part the first night. They called and reminded them it was a 2 bedroom and every other night they did all of it. They were using the sleeper sofa in the living room and thought it was pure luxury to have it ready for use when they returned in the evenings.

Thank you DisneyMeMa. Now I know they still offer it.

I guess as it gets closer to our trip I will just call the resort and ask about it.

This sounds wonderful... but since the beds aren't made up by housekeeping earlier in the day & we're responsible for washing our own linens, there's a chance, as in my case, they'd come to do a turndown and find the sleeper sofa stripped. Would they make it up with new sheets?

Hmm... I'm thinking it might be worth it for the few nights we're there if only to keep my youngest from falling asleep on the bed and having to do the make-a-bed shuffle.

For a $25 fee you can have your room serviced every day if you want. U just have to let them know a day in advance. They screw it up sometimes so call the day before to remind them. The last three times we went I had them doing our room every other day. One trip was for 16 days. That's eight times $25. Never charged me for even one day. They just don't seem to have it together with the computers talking to each other. My thinking is that we are there for lets say a week. Spending who knows how much money. For an extra $50 or even $100 bucks it's worth it to have them come in evry other day or even every day. The kids will blow that on Mickey ears....
