we own at BCV and planned on booking a studio for SEP 2016 this October....BUT we were counting on the rooms being rehabbed and the Murphy bed....what to do, what to do....that's where the grandkids want to stay, but we'll have 3 adults and two kids...yes, we know we will be crowded, but it worked out just fine in June at WLV in the rehabbed studio.

Should I book and take a chance they'll actually finish by next September?

My guess is that DVD who wants to make money selling the new VWL postponed the BCV rerurb to use BCV inventory for displaced VWL guests. Currently BCV is the first resort offered by the guest experience team when moving VWL guests.

Will this continue into 2016, does DVD need the BCV inventory in 2016, only DVD knows what their plans are.

Take a chance & book now. You can't book elsewhere until 7 months anyway. We should know more about the rehab schedule / process next March. You can change then if it doesn't look promising. Good luck!

I would go ahead and book. We had booked BWV for this past May and really had no idea about the reno going on there beforehand...until it was a month or two out from our trip. Didn't make a difference to us if we had a reno room or not. But we were not counting on the murphy bed either. I think the grandkids would love the pool at BCV...if the kids don't mind, bring a couple of the smaller air mattresses and lean them behind the drapes during the day.

We did not get a renovated room at BWV, but it was super clean and did not look worn or trashy at all.

Will it allow you to book 5 in a studio now? BWV garden/pool view studios all 5 as they added the flip down TV bed.

I would move at 7 months if there is no confirmation that refurb has started. We booked for this October at BCV hoping to get a refurbished room before it was postponed. We were planning to have 5 in a studio, but we also have a 2BR booked for the rest of the family. We knew we could move people around if necessary, without that as a back-up I would not have taken the chance.

Member services would not let us book five in a studio for next July.

I would think that they will reduce the bookable rooms at VWL moving forward to reduce the need to move guests.
