We are heading to BCV in 22 days (Yeah!). We have a 3 year old and won't be going out much at night. I'd like to request a studio that has the best view of Illuminations so we can sit on the balcony and watch the show at night.

Anyone who has stayed at the BCV who had a great view, I would appreciate it if you could tell me the room number you were in.

Thanks!!

We were last at Disney when our DD was just 3 yrs old. I think she wore us ragged! She is kind of a night owl, and we were out every night. We would usually wrap up our evenings somewhere between 9 and 11pm.

If he/she will be up at 9pm I would recommend taking her to EPCOT to actually see all the fireworks. My daughter loved it plus the way EPCOT is lit up at night is awesome. Top it off with some ice cream on the way home and that is what vacations are about!

We had 555 & that's probably as good an Illuminations view as you'll find. It was straight ahead. Spaceship earth was over to the left. During the day the view was of the back of world showcase & the Kodak building (the name escapes me. too much Easter candy = sugar stupor). We couldn't really see the road, but could hear it.

We liked the location. No one above us, close to the elevator down to the pool & self parking lot.

Gillian,

How close to the end of the hall were you? This June will be our first time at BCV (studio), and I understand that you were close to the self parking lot and 2nd elevator, but how does this affect the walk to EPCOT or to other areas of the resort? Thanks

36 days and counting!!!

If you look at the map, we were a little past the second "wing" but still on the main hallway. The pool elevator was a little past us. Origianlly we were supposed to have a room in that second, longer wing, but at 3 pm 555 was ready while the other room wasn't. We had hoped to clean up before going to see La Nouba & were lucky they were able to find us another room. Rooms on one side of that wing have a direct spaceship earth view, like in the BCV brochure.

The walk to Epcot is very short. There is a side entrance out of the BCV that puts you on the sidewalk to the walkway. :) It wasn't a bad walk to anything, really, except maybe the boats. The boats seemed far, so more often we walked to epcot & drove to the Studios.

You have to cut through the BC lobby to get to SAB, the restaurants & the boats.

I have to agree with Gillian. 555 is a dedicated studio that would have a really good Illuminations view and a view of spaceship earth off to the left. 561 is also a dedicated studio with the same view and 559 is a lockoff studio with the same view.

Here is a listing of the BCV room layout that may help with questions about views.

Although it's not a good idea to request specific room numbers, on the resorts board they suggest saying, "my friend stayed in room xxx and loved it! Would it be possible to get a room in the same area, or with a similar view?"

But here you could just as easily request Illumination view. I think our request was NS, epcot view, high floor (top floor?). It was september and they weren't at capacity. I'm sure that helped!
