BCV studio room request

We are renting DVC points for a stay at BCV in a studio next year and I’d love help with room requests! It looks like I want to avoid rooms closer to the parking lot (far walk from rest of hotel and Epcot) but beyond that I’m not sure what to request or how to phrase it. Any suggestions would be great!

Did you book a standard view, Preferred View or a Boardwalk View?

Standard will most likely give you a parking lot/front entrance view. Preferred will be pool or garden view and Boardwalk View is self explanatory.

There's not really any great 'views' at Beach Club Villas. We've stayed there three or four times, either getting parking lot view or back view. It's all relative.

As the PP said, views aren't spectacular, and most people have different favorites and non-favorites. Lots of people like the quiet pool view. Views of the courtyard and the main building are good for people watching. My favorite views are the ones that face inside the "U", the woods view-odd # rooms X25-X49, I think. Lots of great bird-watching. On one trip I had a red shouldered hawk that was sitting in the same tree every morning. And from the balcony, I could hear the Epcot background music, and see the Eiffel Tower's peak.

We once stayed in room 566 (I’m pretty sure that was the number; it was several years ago ) and it was very noisy because it was right next to the elevator. So I would suggest looking at the room location info in the BC/YC thread and avoid those units if you’re sensitive to noise. We were only there for one night, otherwise we would have asked to be moved.

We once stayed in room 566 (I’m pretty sure that was the number; it was several years ago ) and it was very noisy because it was right next to the elevator. So I would suggest looking at the room location info in the BC/YC thread and avoid those units if you’re sensitive to noise. We were only there for one night, otherwise we would have asked to be moved.

Same experience for room 325 next to the elevator. The whirring noise from the elevator was really irritating. I couldn't stand it. After 5 minutes in the room, I went down to the lobby and begged to be moved.

Do not request "close to elevator" at BCV unless you have serious mobility issues. And if you make that request, plan to wear ear plugs the entire time you are in the room.

I'm wondering if the room was #516. I stayed in that one and heard elevator noises all night. What was ironic was that it wasn't next to an elevator, but it was across the hall. I never could figure out why I could hear the elevator machinery from across the hall.

I was in 225 last year, and was a little nervous about being right next to the elevator. But in that one, I didn't hear the elevator whirring noise. I suspect the second floor is set up a little differently, starting with it being open to below-I'm not sure, but somehow I suspect that on that floor, the elevator isn't right next to the room. So if you do have mobility issues and need a HA studio, you might request 225.
Also, to remember which room I stayed in, I always take a close up picture of the room number sometime during the trip.
