BCV studio question?

Hi,
First let me preface my question by saying that I am renting points for a stay at a BCV studio. I know some people do not approve of renters but I assure you I feel privileged to be able to stay at BCV. In fact the woman who rented to me was sooo nice I would feel as if I were imposing on her to do anything that might upset DVC members staying there.
...Anyway, I was wondering if someone could tell me if the studio kitchenettes have plates, spoons etc. or should I bring some.
Also, I know pool hopping is allowed for members and I assume not for renters but my son would like to walk over to the Boardwalk just to try the scary clown slide. I told him I doubt it was possible but I would at least ask.
I am hoping my husband likes the Beach Club so much I can talk him into membership, not likely, but I can still hope!:sunny:
Thanks,
Caren

I too, like you rented a BCV Studio.

As I recall it included Paper Plates, Paper Towels, Plastic Utensils, ceramic mugs (and plastic cups?), dish soap, sponge.

It worked out great in that we were able to pick up some groceries prior to arriving. We bought items like cereal, milk, snacks, water, soft drinks, PB & J, etc.

As far as pool hopping, sorry, I can't give you definite information. We found that we enjoyed SAB so much, that we never considered hopping. I believe I have read on these boards that you cannot hop to SAB from another location. But whether you can hop to any of the others from SAB, I'm not sure.

I think you'll find that you will be treated like a "member". Your room key will even say "member", which worked out great for my son and I when we found that we could use tennis rackets and balls supplied to us by the Fitness Center. The Fitness Center also has member privileges.

I'm sure you'll love it, and like you I was hopefull, but to no avail. Oh well, as long as the wonderful DVC members choose to rent their points, I will be thankful to have an opportunity to stay in their beautiful accommodations.

You'll find paperplates, paper bowls, plastic forks, spoons & knives, as well as drinking glasses, & ceramic coffee mugs.

Technically, renters are not entitled to member perks. However, if your resort ID/room key says "member" on it, no one will question you if you pool hop.

Enjoy your stay - I'm sure you will all like the BCV.

Best wishes -

Thanks for the quick replies Wags and CarolMN. Just what I wanted to know.
The reason my son wants to go to the Boardwalk pool is I thought we were going to be staying there so I showed him pictures of the pool to get him excited, then the waitlist came through for the BCV, I thought he would be sooo excited for SAB and he is but he STILL wants to try the clown slide, go figure!
Thanks again,
Caren

Please don't be put off by the few elitist snobs found on these boards. Most of us have no problem with renting to fine people like yourself.

Enjoy your vacation.:sunny:
