Mom & I are trying to plan our next trip to WDW & the Wonder (4 days). We wanted to stay @ our home resort & found out that we could stay in a BCV studio 3 nts & go on the wonder & have plenty left over (banking) for a Magic cruise the following year. Or we could get a 1 bedroom @ OKW for 3 nts & go on the Wonder (4 nights) and bank less points. What would you do?? Any thoughts or suggestions would be helpful! Oh we will be working with 309 points for 2005. & we like/have to vacation the last 2 weeks in May. As I am in college. Thanks, I hope this makes sense. Also should we feel guilty about not going to our home resort in 2005 It will be our 2nd DVC trip. Sorry about this we are new!

Allison, isn't it exciting to make all these plans with your points?:D

I think, if I were you, I would choose BCV studio. It is much closer to the restaurants, shops, Epcot, and MGM. I think it may be easier for you to get around, and enjoy everything in close proximity without having to get into a car much.

On the other hand, OKW 1-br is very spacious. I never thought we would stay there because of its location until DH said that he would like to try it sometimes. So I guess we will be staying there sometimes in the near future:D

Which is more important to you and your Mom, do you want much larger accomodations or a much closer location to the parks, restaurants, etc. The bedding provided will be almost the same: king/queen bed and sleeper sofa but of course the 1 br is very large w/ full kitchen, dr, lr, jacuzzi tub, w&d, large balcony will you use all this space and will it be worth the extra pts, or will you be out and about most of the time? Will you use SAB? Both are wonderful accomodations it just depends on what is important to you, more convenient/desired by you, etc. Have fun planning!

One other consideration is the washer/dryer in the one bdrm. You could pack for four days, do laundry and leave for the cruise with all clean clothes. I know you can do laundry at BCV, but you may have to wait for washer/dryer.

Is one of you a night owl and the other isn't? The one bdrm would let one of you stay up to watch TV while the other gets an early start on her beauty rest. I also appreciate the extra sink area in the one bdrm. Makes it much easier to both get ready in the AM.

Either way you can't go wrong - you're at WDW!!!

Hi,

Thanks for your replys. After a day @ WDW we usually fall into bed. I have been thinking about it & I think we'll do a studio @ BCV!! Thanks

I think you made the right choice! A studio is just fine for 2 people and the laundry room is free :).

Good choice, Tinkgirl. When it's just DD and I, we get the studio at BCV and share the queen bed. That way we don't have to mess with the sleeper sofa. Dad likes to spread out (and get up earlier), so we get the OKW 1 BR when he comes. I have never had to wait for the W/D at BCV, just take a couple of detergent tabs. Diana

I made this decision early - but Mother wanted VWL - so we are staying there!

I happen to love OKW - but sometimes change kepts you going!!!

Another studio vote here. Being just for the three days, and if you can get to the villas or the pool laundry on your last day to get clothes cleaned up - I would go for saving for another trip.

If it were a longer stay, with another person or two, I might think the 1 br is best. It really depends on what you consider convenience, what your needs are for your party and how much you want to go again!

Hi,

Thanks guys!! If we were staying more than 3 days @ WDW we would get a 1 bedroom!! We will have a 1 bedroom in HH in October 2003. Thanks again!
