We are taking a short--very short--one night stay in a BCV studio next week. Can someone please give me a good room location to request? I know you think "who cares, it's only one night" but it's our first stay at BCV and my DH first trip "home" so I'd like it to be perfect--even if only for one night.

Oh, and if you could also please tell me what plates/utensils are offered in a studio, if any.

Thanks for your help!

I've not made a placement request at BCV, so can't help you there, but there should be 4 paper plates, 4 paper bowls, and 4 each of plastic cutlery. We have found that some resorts are more generous with these, but we've just gotten 4 each at BCV. We're told here that you can request more.

There will be 2 ceramic mugs, and sometimes we have been given 4 glasses, but also sometimes, only 2 glasses, as if some are supposed to use the mugs.

You get a small sponge and bottle of dishliquid.

There is a toaster, coffee pot with a supply of coffee, in a filter pack to make a pot of coffee. Sometimes we've been given more than one pack.

Of the studios that we've stayed at at BCV, we like the one that faces the grassy area, sort of like facing the car driveway the best, and we've also liked the ones that faced the woods. When we faced the woods, we definitely could hear the British group playing Beatles songs in the afternoon, and I enjoyed the music while relaxing on the balcony. We've been close to the road and even higher up, I thought that was too noisy to enjoy sitting on the balcony.

Have fun! We have a one night stay at BCV before going to BWV in June.

Thanks for the reply. Can anyone give me an idea of room views from different parts of the BCV? I looked at a diagram but I am not sure where the parking lots are, grassy/woods views etc. Are there any views that overlook the lagoon?

Thanks.

Selfishly bumping in hopes of getting a specific location to request.

Thanks.

You could request Epcot view, but many of those aren't really that great, and the service road is down there. You can really only see the Epcot fireworks if you're up high, top floor mostly. They don't have any 'official' Epcot view, it's just they'd try to put you on the Epcot side of the building.

You could request near elevators if you'll be coming and going a lot.

I personally prefer one of the pool views. It gives more of a resort feel when you look out the patio window.

Here's a satellite image of Epcot. The BCV is that light color 'Y" shaped building about the middle of the image and off to the far left side. You can see that one leg of the 'Y' is toward the parking lot. The interior of the 'Y', or the 'U' shaped part of it, all face the pool. You can pretty much judge the remaining views as either being toward Epcot, or toward grass/trees, or toward the main building areas of BC.

Hope this helps

Just for fun, other things in the image:
Lower Left corner is BWV and BWI (just barely visible). Mostly you can see the parking areas.
Top Center is the guest parking area for Epcot
Right Center is the CM parking area for Epcot
Bottom Right is Carribbean Beach Resort.

The Epcot area should be pretty straight forward, with Spaceship Earth at one end, and World Showcase at the other.

Even though BCV is very close to Epcot, you have to walk to the main walkway and then to the IG to get in. It's still a very short walk, but not like walking across the street where Epcot is actually situated.

Wow, thanks for the post Caskbill! More than I expected! I think I am going to request a pool view. I think it's my favorite view--at any resort. I am just totally unfamiliar with the resort and had no idea where the pool, parking lots or even Villas were situated. Thanks again!

I loved studio #422. The views were about the same as the 1-BR #420. The balcony was tiny, however. But I loved the convenience to the elevators and the views of Illuminations. I also liked woods view #549, I love overlooking the woods where you can also hear the music from Epcot WS and evey morning I saw the resident Cooper's Hawk sitting in his spot in the trees.
