BCV Studio for 4 - Am I nuts??

Last summer we stayed in a studio at BCV and while it was crowded it was OK. DH, DS 19, DD17 and myself did OK, ofcourse up until 3 years ago when we bought DVC we did OK in a regular hotel room too so we're used to being close on vacation. If it's a trip when you'll be out and about alot it's fine. DD used a full sized aero bed that fit perfectly in the door area of the studio which left the sleep sofa for DS and the bed for DH and I. I opted for studios laaast year since I wanted to stay for 3 weeks instead of just 2 in a 1 bedroom. It's alll about quality vs. quantity.

For me, it's the mother-in-law issue. It would be the same for an aunt, uncle, pretty much anyone outside my core family unit. If it were just a family of four, "cozy" would be just fine.

I'd have to agree. If it was all immediate family, it would be different, at least for us.

Best wishes.

Husband, 8 yr old son, my mom and I all stayed in an OKW studio last Easter. We had planned for just the three of us, but invited my mother along so she could spend some time with her sister who lives just outside of Orlando. She stayed with her sister for three nights, then joined us at OKW for the last five nights. It was a bit crowded, but not too bad. She and I shared a bed and Husband and son the other. With the two queens it was not bad. I wouldn't want to do it with the other studios, though. The bathroom is bigger at OKW, so that helped also.

A husband and wife and 2 kids yes, but one kid and a mother in law, no way. I would try and find your mother in law a second studio for herself. Renting a two bedroom would be the best idea.

lenshanem,

Our aerobed was a full and it did (with no room to spare) fit right inside the door in that little foyer area. We didn't think of putting it there until our third night and moved the coffee table, little table and chairs until I thought to try it there. Much easier not to have to move everything each night! Yes there is a door over to the right ( which connects it to the adjoining room- making it a 2 br unit - does that mean dedicated? I am not sure of the terminology). If you go for the twin it would give you even more room. They sell sheets (and even mattress covers) to go with the Aerobed. It inflates in a minute. We stored it, and the bedding, next to the bed during the day. Worked great. Try www.overstock.com, too to see if you can get one. They had some great prices last summer on these. Good luck!

lenshahem,

I just checked www.overstock.com to see if they were still there. I looked and they have a full sized aerobed for 59.00! We paid 70-75 I think , so that is a good deal, too. I don't know about s&h, though.....just thought this may be a possibility, too! :) Good luck again!
