We got back a few weeks ago from a two week stay at the BCV-2 bedroom---room #424. We had a very nice view of Illuminations--especially from the balcony off the second bedroom---closer to the elevators......ALSO---this room is in a perfect spot for jumping on the elevators---no mile long treks through the hall---and no elevator noise either....we would request this room again.
We drove from Pennsylvania--and on the way home stayed at a very nice Holiday Inn right off of 95 in Fayetteville NC...we had advance reservations---highly recommended---on our last trip--we were desparately trying to get a room---couldn't find one anywhere---it was a horrible feeling.....finally at a Jameson Inn---the middle of the night receptionist and I actually cleaned a just-vacated room ourselves!!!!! I was REALLY desparate for a bed to lay down in!!!
I would not recommend Jameson Inns as far as comfort goes---but I have to hand it to the woman who helped us when we so desparately needed to sleep!!!! Never again will we leave home without reservations!!!
LOVED the pool at BCV--the sandy bottom is incredible!!!!!! kids had so much fun there--and so did we!!
Just wanted to add my two cents about different rooms at BCV--and ended up writing a novel!!!

Thanks for the report. Two weeks ...wow!

What a good warning about booking a room ahead of time! Glad it worked out OK!

Thanks for great trip report, sounds like you had a good time! Did that room have 2 queen beds in the 2nd bedroom?

Room 424 does not have two queen beds in the second bedroom--it had one queen and a pullout sofa....i understand that eventually ALL of the 2 bedrooms at the BCV will have two queen beds in the second room--but that transition could take a while....there are about 25 2 bedrooms that do have two queen beds in the second room--so if you need that--it is very important to make that request---since there such a small number of those rooms....the only reason we were able to do two weeks in a 2 bedroom--was because we banked all of last year's points and used all of this year's...otherwise we couldn't do it....
we are thinking of adding on in the next couple of days---it is a big decision financially---but it is like prepaying for future vacations--is how we look at it..--so we will have 420 points if we add on--and that will give us a whole lot more flexibility---plus---the points are almost as low as they were in 1992 when we first looked at DVC!!!!
