BCV Report

I am back from a stay at the BCV.

First of all we checked in and out roon was not ready at 4:00 pm. they said they didn;t know how long it would be before it was done and that check-in only started at 4:00 pm!! We could of been waiting far into the evening if I did not complain. Thye put a rush into housekeeping.

We got into our room finally at 5:00 pm. We went to take a nap and found the sheets on the beds to be dirty!!!! It was realy quite disgusting.

Then there were hairs all over the bathroom on the toilet, floor and bathtubs!

I complained and they sent a maid to come change the sheets. She even made a comment that she always check but some maids don't!!!

The maids and valets were very friendly but not the front desk staff. It was a hardship to ask them for anything - even simple directions. I felt as though they did not like their jobs at all

The my rent a car got keyed in their parking lot!!!

I went to go use the pool and there was a man standing by the towels telling me that I can't pool hop from the BWV!! I explained I was staying at BCV and showed my room key - not that that helped. I did not get a good feeling aobut this place

I stayed at SSR next which the staff was very very friendly. Every one working there seemed very happy and seemed to like workign there.

We got into our room at 1:30 pm and in the springs bldg very close to main building and bus.

Bus service at SSR was wonderful and we never waited any longer than 10 min for any bus!

We had our bags transferred from BCV. BCV forgot to tag tha tbags that we needed refrigerated so a bunch of our food was destroted. SSR mad eup for that and reimbursed me for the groceries.

SSR will not bring you bag to your rooms without you being present which apparently is different from other DVC resorts

But then again we found the room was not cleaned properly. There was garbage all around the bed (under the bed skirt)

I called housekeeping. She apologized and cleaned the room, She told me what she usually does is give people a free breakfast or a reclean of room! Like this is a common occurance of them not cleaning rooms!! What else wasn't cleaned!

All in all SSR wins over BCV (even though I loved being close to Epcot) I really did love SSR other than the dirty room. The pool was heated so well that even when it got coolk out you could still swim and the 2 hottubs were great! Not to mention the spa!

They do need more menu options at Artist's Palette though

I would definately stay at BWV over BCV in the future as the walk to get out onto the boardwalk is much closer that at BCV You have to go through a maze just to walk to Epcot.

DVC rooms aren't guarateed at 4:00. It's worded on the confirmations: "Check-in time is after 4:00 p.m."

I've had a few times when I didn't get a room until 6:00 or 6:30 p.m. in the evening.

Never had any hairs in the bed ever at Disney.

So did the CM let you use Storm a Long Bay when they looked at your room key again? Maybe they were new. Most of them know exactly what number code goes with what resort.

I've always had a wonderful experience at BCV and have always found the walk to Epcot shorter than any BWV walk. And even the walk over to the Boardwalk is not bad. But then when I stay at BWV, I'm usually on the end by the tennis courts. We own points at both BWV and BCV, so I speak as an owner at both.

I did notice when visiting SSR that their employees were very helpful and friendly. We haven't stayed there yet. Sounds like Disney is trying to correct the SSR bus problems reported in the past. That's good.
