We are going to Disney during free dining, 9/13/-9/19. Right now we are booked at the BC. This trip we will be spending more time at the Resort then usual, which started me thinking...:idea:

1. Can you stay in a BCV, if there are any available, even if you are not a DVC member?;

2. If you can, can you still get free dining, if it is still available;

3. Are they worth the extra money?; and

4. Can my TA book it?

Thanks in advance for your responses.

I think the answer to all of your question is yes! What type of room where you looking into? The BCV are my "home" resort - we love it there!

OK! Yes you can stay in a BCV if one is available! But I believe the answer to Free Dining is no! I believe I read that here somewhere but I could be wrong! You can purchase the dining plan but I don't believe they offer free dining to the DVC. The extra Money is definitely worth it! I've stayed at OKW and SSR and BCV! Yes I believe youre travel agent would be able to book it! :)

Correct on all counts (well, I guess the "is it worth it" is somewhat subjective.

DVC members booking with points (or someone renting points) can't book free dining.

If you book through Disney Reservation Center, there are different rules. If free dining is still open and if there is availability at BCV, it might be possible.

We were fortunate enough to book the BCVs (1 bedroom) with free dining. We did it through the WDW website. We had a room at the BC booked, but I kept checking daily for a 1 bedroom for the kitchen and the more room. We had seed quite a few studios offered but didn't really want one as they are so similar to a regular room at the BC. We didn't have any luck until one magically appeared and I booked it as quickly as possible. Someone must have had a cancellation. So, yes you can stay there without points, and with free dining. We have checked availability lately, but right now there is nothing available. Good luck!

By the way, I just checked for availability, and there are some studios available with free dining. Go to the WDW homepage and look for Goofy with the "Last Chance for this Free Offer" click it, enter you dates and see if there is any avialability for the BCV's. You have to have at least a one day ticket for everyone in your party to get the free dining. You can edit this on the tickets area before you book.

I'll give a shot at questions 3 & 4

Worth is very subjective so that's a hard one. I love the BCV's I have a family of 3 "men", 2 teenage boys all over 6 ft and my dh who's a big man, the 4 of us in a small hotel room is not a pretty sight. We love the extra room. We love having a kitchen and a balcony and you already know the location cannot be beat.

Your TA should be able to book it, if not it's very easy to do on the wdw website.

Just wanted to say "oops" - when I posted that all was correct (inc. no free dining) - I was totally focused on DVC owners and renting points, even though the question wasn't about that! Sorry! :confused3

Glad to see you are going ;) to BC after all. Just wanted to wish you lots of pixiedust: on your trip.

worth the extra money - yes - and no -

the whirlpool tub in the master bathroom is worth to me - plus you get a livingroom too as well as kitchen and washer/dryer stackable.

that say I stay mostly in studios.

Thank you for the pixiedust, can't get enough of that. Pretty sure we are going. After all the wonderful responses to my other thread, talking to DH and friends, getting away will do us a world of good. I am going to relax around the resort more this time than ever. No 6:00 a.m. wakeup calls for going into the park commando style. Going to take it one day at a time, and if we feel like doing nothing, nothing is exactly what we will do.

Last night DH and I started looking at the pictures for the BCV. If it is in our budget, we will stay in one. They look lovely.

Thank you Laura's dad for checking availability. As soon as I saw your post, I shot out an e-mail to our TA. Waiting for her response.

Glad to hear it :) . Relaxing at BC should be great! I was looking into that reort for our family since we usually stay in the MK area and we wanted to try the Epcot are. Friends of ours have DVC and are staying there the same time. She always stays in a one bedroom at BCV and loves it :cloud9: . Not sure how much it would be nightly though. Have you looked inot renting points there from a member? Hope you have a great trip!

a 1 bdr villa during value season without renting points is $435/night:eek: Same acco. during holiday season is $645/night:scared1: :scared1:

I hope this helps. I was extatic to be able to book our stay with free dining and a one bedroom. We are going on probably one of our last family vacations (my daughter will graduate from high school next year) and have wanted to stay at the BCV's for a long time. We were close to renting points last February. We, instead waited on free dining and had originally booked two rooms at PO-FQ, then a one bedroom at the Boardwalk Villas, then a standard room at the Beach Club (for Stormalong Bay) and finally our dream one bedroom at the BCVillas came through. I am thoroughly blessed.
