BCV or WLV which to choose if doing boat and bike plan

I wanted BCV but got WLV and was wait listd for BCV. Are family decided that WLV would be fine and then are wait list came in. I was automatially switched to BCV. We are going to try to add a day. Shoulld we switch back to WLV if still available? Its just me and the kids and we want to do boat and bike plan also. Which would be better for boat and bike plan??

WLV would be better for the boat plan, you have the large lake there at WLV but a small one at BC, then again maybe you would want on that is on the small lake. I would get it at the place you are staying if you can.

Just returned from VWL and we did the bike and boat family plan. I would definitely recommend VWL. Not only is the water area much larger than what you could utilize at BCV, but the bike trails go for miles through Fort Wilderness. We have stayed at both BCV and VWL and we prefer to stay at VWL over BCV. Much more relaxed atmosphere. Storm Along Bay can get crazy!!!!

I have to agree about doing the Bike & Boat plan at WL, there's just no comparison.... Grab a bike, ride over to FTW & ride to your hearts content!!! Then, grab a boat & ride to your hearts content there!! The lake is enormous when compared to the 10x10 lake you get at BC

We do the plan at the WL even when we stay at the BW!!!!

Is this for dvc members only or do we get a discount?

What would it cost for adults, teens , and children?

Hi Felicia, do a search for "boat" in this forum, you'll find a ton of information on it.... basically you can go to any marina & pay 199.00 for an unlimited Boat/Bike plan... it does not have to be the marina at your resort, it can be any marina... as long as you're an on site guest.... You can sign up six people to be "drivers", you can have any number of people on the boat, not to exceed occupancy of course.... the minimum age to be the driver on the sprites is 12 I think.. the boat includes all the different boat types, but the bikes does not include the surrey bikes... This is an unlimited plan for the length of your stay... I think this covers it, but do a search & you'll find lots of conversation on it

Thanks for the info. I will call Monday morning and try to switch my ressies to VWL. Wish me luck. I want to add a day also. Maybe 2 or three days. Right now we only have Sunday to Wed. Not much time to play. Can I stay at another resort part of the time and do bike and boat plan?

Tigger1, that's one issue I'm unclear on... I've always wondered if you could switch resorts & still keep your unlimited boat/bike plan... I know with the UMP you can't.... This might be a bit more flexible though...

We did the bike and boat plan at VWL last month. I asked about switching resorts, and was told that if we were splitting our stay, the plan would be good for the entire stay, but it would have to be at the same dock. In other words, if we split our stay between VWL and BCV, we could have one bike and boat plan at either VWL OR BCV.
