We will be staying at the poly for 4 days and would like to do a split stay at either BCV or BWV. Which would you recommend? PROs and CONs of each? We have not stayed at either one. TIA!

BCV is our home and we love it there. We have stayed at both and both are great choices.
BCV has access to Storm Along Bay, which is by far, the nicest pool on property. It is like a mini water park. It is also closest to Epcot. My DH tells folks he is a 5 minute walk away from a cold beer at the Rose & Crown Pub in the UK.
BWV is also nice. Lots of people do not like the clown pool, but we are okay with it. It is really centrally located and a nice walk to both Epcot and to DHS. The Boardwalk itself is lively in the evenings
I don't think you can go wrong with either.

Thank you so much for your post! I am super excited to try both and I can't decide at all which to choose! I saw the new rooms at Bwv and they look fabulous but I hate the lack of qs at Bwv. Bcv has that amazing pool and the resort is gorgeous and has a bit better qs option but I heard the refurb was behind and that they are in desperate need for my new goods! I'm so torn! Ugh!

BCV and BWV are our two favorite resorts. They are different, but you really can't go wrong with either. Aside from the great pools, self-parking at BCV is slightly easier, and the shorter walk to Epcot is convenient for meals. The lobby at the BW resort definitely has the bigger wow factor. It is so beautiful there and it gets even better as you walk outside to the boardwalk. On the other hand, the less formal BC resort has its own charm. If I had to choose, I'd pick the BWV since I am not much of a pool person, but, realistically, it is more a question of where we can get a reservation (not a DVC member). We stayed in a 2-bedroom at the BCV for 6 nights last November and both our room and the shared areas were in perfect condition. We did a split stay that also included 2-bedrooms at the VGF, both with and without lake view. The VGF rooms were far superior to both the BCV and BWV, and the GF itself is obviously gorgeous, but the area round the BCV, BWV, and Epcot is so exciting that it more than made up for the difference. It was impossible to get reservations at either DVC resort for our upcoming trip so we'll be staying in club level rooms at the BWI instead. Good luck!

That's a REALLY hard choice!! I love BWV, and the Boardwalk view on the villa's side is AMAZING. However, I also love Beach Club. We stayed at the hotel side there, not the villas, but I'm sure it's equally as amazing. Although a difficult decision, I think I would choose Beach Club. It's by FAR the best pool on Disney property. You can easily access the restaurants, shops, etc, Boardwalk has to offer when stayed at Beach Club, but you cannot access SAB while staying at Boardwalk.
