We are hardcore BC lovers, but the only availability I could find for our Oct trip was a BCV Studio. I'm a little nervous about it. We have been insanely lucky with our rooms at BC-- somehow a garden view has gotten us a room in the dead center of the hotel overlooking the lake three times in a row. I've been very spoiled by the beautiful view, and the super-short trek down to the lobby, and the extra daybed has been so great for our 2 boys (no bedtime fighting!) Please help me get excited about the Villas-- it looks like we are giving up a good bit of space in the studio, and I'm worried it will seem really removed from the lobby. Are there any requests we should make to be placed closer to thee main lobby/marketplace? Are there any lake-view rooms?

Quiet pool view is about the best that you can get, no lake view the villas are behind the BC. Close to main elevator will get you close to main building.

I will caution you BCV is about to start a room rehab that will last several months.

We had a very nice room last year but I can't remember the room number. i want to say it was the 3rd or 4th floor. After you got out of the elevator you went down a short hall and our room was a few down. We could see the Epcot fireworks each night which was cool and like I said it was close to the elevator and back trail to walk to Epcot. I never thought it was really far to get to the main lobby either.

Thanks-- I'm aware of the refurb, but hoping it won't affect our stay too much. I still have hope I can extend our stay at BC (currently have two reservations) but the studio is the only guarantee we would be at an Epcot area resort all week. Sounds like maybe requesting close to elevator/main building and a high floor would be a good idea.

The BCVs are close to the bus stop. And all of the studios have a balcony. As long as you can get a room that is near the BC then you really aren't too far from Epcot or the lobby. It is a bit farther for SAB and the boat dock. We've stayed at the villas three times and none of the rooms felt far from Epcot.

But a regular BC resort room is nicer than the studio.

What isn't as good as a BC room in the villas is the lack of two real beds. You'll have a queen bed and double sleeper sofa. If you get a renovated room, you will also have a murphy bed with a mattress larger than a crib, but smaller than a twin (shorter and narrower).
